Just asked name. When call back this #, it ask if you need to remove your # and please provide #.

I got a call on my cell phone. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Is it a solicitor?

I too got a call from this number on my cell phone but didn't leave a message. I called back and heard an atomated voice saying about removing my number. It didn't say who they are and what they wanted.

I'm in Texas near Houston.  Didn't leave a message when this number called my cell phone.

Just got a call from this number at work.  When I answered, they hung up.

I got the same call at work with no voice on the other end. I called it back to find that it belongs to Global Knowledge which is a corporate training company. Talk about cold calls , this strategy is a pain !!!!

I got this number from my caller ID 800-298-9920. No message was left. I called it back from my land line and got a recording that identified it as "Global Knowledge" if I wanted to speak with an advisor in regards to my request for information please press 1... Odd, I know of no company by that name and I certainly did NOT request information from them. Oh well

Global Knowledge is a parent company for some different training companies.  Mostly IT Training I think, they get your name at trade shows and such.  Goto a trade show, get a free pen, they get your name/number and call, call, call, and then call some more.

i was called on my cell ph at 4:10 pm est.  A girl said "Can I speak with ___________ (my correct name).  I said this is  _____ (me).  She then hung up.  What's with that?

call came in, answered, but no one spoke from the other end. The call stayed open for 30 seconds with a clear signal - on my cell phone.

Received multiple calls from this phone number.   Anybody know what/who it is?

If it is Global Knowledge I am going to call my field rep and rip him a new one, because I have used their services in the past and I am sick to death of these calls.

I work for Global Knowledge.  This is a very simple process.  All you have to do is CALL THE NUMBER BACK, kindly let us know what is going on, kindly give us your number, we will be happy to look it up and then KINDLY ask us to not call or if you would like information on our training courses, we'll be glad to help you with that too.

If we get your voicemail, we WILL leave you a message.  We are required to leave one message on your VM if we do get it.

(notice "Kindly?")  We are working professionals too trying to help out other working professionals in their IT industries!

I just got a call from this number and they did not leave a voice mail.

Call them back, select option 2 and tell the (very pleasant) rep that you wish to be removed.  I found out I was on their call list after downloading a white paper from Tech Repubilic on a product called ImageX

Yes, we are no longer required to leave voice messages because they never got returned and were a waste of our time!

We do sometimes use automatic dialers when calling our customers and prospective customers as well.  We are not calling to demand you hand over your wallet right there.  We want to assist you with information (if you need any) on IT training courses.

Most of the people we call are members of our partners websites such as Techrepublic, TechTarget, TechWeb, etc.  If you download a whitepaper from any one of those sites, and you have your legitimate phone number on your account with those sites, they will refer you to us as someone who might be interested in pursuing IT training courses.

If you would like to call back our number, feel free. Just please be nice about it!  We are working professionals helping other professionals with their careers.

Another tip:  if you are a member of any of our partner websites, and you don't want calls each time you download a whitepaper or do a webinar, log into your account and change the phone number to something like all 5's, all 9's etc and you will still get access to those valuable resources.

MIKE:  A training company that wishes to contact prospects and customers would CONTACT THEM AND TALK!!  This is so much BS.  Your "kind and professional" company acts like a little boy with a crush who just can't quite think of what to say when the phone is answered and hangs up.  IF YOU ARE SO DANG PROFESSIONAL then SAY something professional!!!  Or leave the phone calling to the REAL professionals who know what their business is and what they are going to say when the phone is answered!

We use Automatic dialers and there is a small pause between the connection and the time it comes to us.  We do not "hang up" on purpose!  Just wait a few seconds, someone will come to the line, we WILL talk to you.  Just be patient!

I know the pause is annoying, believe me it's annoying to us too, but we don't mean to do it intentionally!
