- TCall was about fraud protection. very fishy
- N/AThis is the number for Chase Bank (Credit Card) Fraud Investigations and is a legit number. If you don't believe me, call the number on the back of the card and ask Chase yourself.
- chase number not legitNO it is not a legit number, I just called chase and they confirmed it. BEWARE, always use the number on the back of the card for any fraud or any credit card problems.
BEWARE - HOUSTON,TEXASTHIS IS NOT LEGIT!!!!! I CALLED THE CHASE FRAUD AND SECURITY DEPARTMENT AND THEY INFORMED ME THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEIR NUMBERS AND THIS IS NOT HOW THEIR
PROCEDURES ARE HANDLED!!!! - AI received a call from this Chase on Friday. I called the number on my credit card (not this number) and they said this is not one of their's and there is no notes on my account that they called.
- Caller: Chase
- TedA Mr. Chris Miller called my business stating he was from Chase and needed me to fax a credit card receipt of my customer's purchase from March 14, 2009 due to fraudulent activity. He had their cr. card # and wanted it faxed to (480)902-6777. I knew that wasn't proper procedure so I called My Credit Card Merchant and they informed me it was odd to not fax it. Then I called Chase Cr. Cards from a legit phone number found on the back of my personal Chase card. They also stated this was not their number and a Chris Miller Doesn't work there. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Caller: Chase
- RonI too got a call for Sharron Granger from "Chase" at ext 12799. I Called the number on my card and they said this is not their phone number. Be Careful!
- Caller: "Chase"
- Prefer not to give nameI received a call from this number using extension 10803 and a fax from 480-902-7544 from someone named Robbin Coughlin representing herself to be with the Chase Fraud Loss Prevention at 1820 E. Sky Harbor Circle S, Phoenix, AZ stating she needed all possible information regarding a credit card transaction that my company accepted. None of the information, phone number, fax number, address, etc. can be verified via the internet. I am not a Chase customer. Appears fraudulent. Will not supply any information.
- Smart LadyI just got a call from 1-800-313-5682 from a "Chris" asking me for information about my Chase card. I told him I wanted to verify the number before giving any information and he told me to call his direct number ext 12711. I called chase and they said no one had called and that WAS NOT A CHASE NUMBER! DONT GIVE ANY INFO. CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF THE CARD FIRST.
- Caller: Chase
- TGI just got a call from this "Chris Miller" also with a panting voice, and I thought he was suspicious. First thing he said was "Her pin....?". He noticed I was not my mother. Good thing I looked up the number. It would say Chase card on the phone, not tempa florida would it not? How do they do these things? It's horribly scary.
- Caller: Chase Card
- Los Angeles, CAI too received a message from a Sharon in Chase Fraud Loss Prevention saying to call extension 12799. She sounded very official and I was almost fooled--especially since it was the day after our credit card number was stolen and the account was frozen. Someone must have made a fake card with our number and was ringing up thousands in charges around Miami Florida. At least it was easy figuring out which charges were fraudulent.
I had checked my statement online and discovered it.
Interesting that the previous poster said it came from Tampa, FL.
Who's the idiot who says this is legit?!!- Caller: Chase?
- NY NYI had a my card stolen, they charged $500 at a store. I called Chase immediately and they shut down my account. I just got a call from this number (1-800-313-5682), and the person was the investigator looking into the fraud charges, a separate division of Chase. The only thing that he asked was if two subsequent charges on my card after it was shut down were valid (which they were, recurring charges from people who had my card on file). He did not ask for any personal information or anything more than that. If it was fake, he'd probably try to push for more details/information...?
- PAWe just received the same type of fraud call from a Krista who gave 1-800-313-5682 ext. 12684 as the call back number as well. My wife called it and the woman acted like she had no idea that she made the call and started to ask some phishing questions. My wife gave her nothing and I reported it to Chase. The number on our caller ID came up as 1-480-902-6000, which is Linda Bawiec, President of JP Morgan Chase, in Tempe AZ. I reported all of this to Chase's fraud department who of course, never made a call to us. BEWARE!
- Call type: Prank
- MeThe person calling now is named "Paul Park." We had a Chase credit card number stolen online via a Windows hack - thanks flippin' Microsoft - closed the account, but had several charges for 69.95 one after the other even before we got through to a person at CustServ for Chase. A few days later, we start getting calls from Paul, about "fraudulent charges on the card." He's relentless, and calls several times a day. Calling the number on the back of the card informs us there's nothing they want from us, so "Paul" is just a big, fat, scamming piece of doodoo. Can you tell I need a nap?
It shows up as "Arizona" on the calleer ID with a number of 480-902-6000.- Caller: "Chase" or "Arizona"
