- IT in ArizonaI got a call from this number. I said hello, no one spoke so I hung up. I called it back. It said "Thank you for calling Global Knowledge". This is a place where I download business-related and IT-related white papers and such from time to time. Later they call me and try to sell me training. last time they called it was a different number.
- Caller: Global Knowledge
- DTE TechnologiesCalled me @ 12:35 cst and left no message. Am wondering if it is the same as some of the other posts, I have downloaded tons of white papers. Left no message, maybe they will call again..
- P WongUnknown name.
- P Wongcalled me @13:24DST left no message.
- NeilI agree with "IT in Arizona". I say this because my wife forwarded me a link to some papers on Router Essentials from Global Knowledge. I downloaded the papers from them last Friday; here it is Monday and I got a call from the 800.316.1343 number. They didn't leave a message. They called my home and cell number.
- MikeI work for Global Knowledge. This is a very simple process. All you have to do is CALL THE NUMBER BACK, kindly let us know what is going on, kindly give us your number, we will be happy to look it up and then KINDLY ask us to not call or if you would like information on our training courses, we'll be glad to help you with that too.
If we get your voicemail, we WILL leave you a message. We are required to leave one message on your VM if we do get it.
(notice "Kindly?") We are working professionals too trying to help out other working professionals in their IT industries!- Caller: Global Knowledge
- B-HeliosI just recieved a call from Global Knowledge. As soon as I picked up, sure enough, they hung up. I wonder why they call if they aren't going to say anything?
I work for CCBOOTCAMP, one of Global Knowledge's biggest competitors.
If we ever call you, it's because you asked for our training information. We would never call if you didn't want us to.
And we could care less for "kindly". If you are unhappy, let us know. We don't hide emotion over here. Be yourself! Have a wonderful day all!
P.S. By the way Global Knowlegde, we have caller ID. Duh!- Caller: Global Knowledge
- RalphReceived a call from this number. No one answered and after a few seconds, the person hung up. I looked on this Global Knowledge website and could not verify that this number in the contact section of their website.
- ANNOYEDCalled my business phone and did not leave a message! I will not answer ANY unknown phone calls anymore! If someone leaves a message, maybe I'll call back.
- Very AnnoyedIf you call me, and I don't answer, do the courtesy of leaving a voice mail. Don't just hang up. Sounds like a cold calling operation.
- MikeYes, we are no longer required to leave voice messages because they never got returned and were a waste of our time!
We do sometimes use automatic dialers when calling our customers and prospective customers as well. We are not calling to demand you hand over your wallet right there. We want to assist you with information (if you need any) on IT training courses.
Most of the people we call are members of our partners websites such as Techrepublic, TechTarget, TechWeb, etc. If you download a whitepaper from any one of those sites, and you have your legitimate phone number on your account with those sites, they will refer you to us as someone who might be interested in pursuing IT training courses.
If you would like to call back our number, feel free. Just please be nice about it! We are working professionals helping other professionals with their careers.
Another tip: if you are a member of any of our partner websites, and you don't want calls each time you download a whitepaper or do a webinar, log into your account and change the phone number to something like all 5's, all 9's etc and you will still get access to those valuable resources.
Thanks!- Caller: Global Knowledge
- Charlotte, NCThis number has called my job 3 times, no one is on the line. Then it hangs up.
- Super AnnoyedGot a call on Monday from 1-800-298-9920 at 3:18 PM CST,
a call yesterday from 1-800-307-3588 at 4:49 PM CST, and
a call today from 1-800-316-1343 at 12:47 PM CST.
I picked up the last call, and no one answered. The first two did not leave a VM. These calls are going to my cell phone.
I don't remember signing up for any white paper, and I don't agree with Mike. There is no reason for anyone to be nice to Global Knowledge if a company constantly calls with 1-800-numbers and not leave any VM or not answer a phone call. Anyone has the right to be rude from being bombarded with phone calls during work and not show any phone etiquettes.
Why do we have to call Global Knowledge to tell them that we don't want your cars anymore when they want our business? This is not one professional speaking to another. Your calls are at the level of a telemarketer and debt collector, just trying to find ways to your hands inches away from money.
1-* not annoyed
10-* super annoyed
