This is student assistance corporation or so they say.  They use multiple numbers and they use an autodialer.  

They are not your loan holder they are the government agency monitoring student loans.

WHY do they keep calling my house SEVERAL TIMES A DAY?
Why is the first thing they say, 'sorry we missed you'  -- AFTER I ANSWER THE PHONE~?

No message left - not calling back if they don't leave a message, stop calling me!  I am on the fcc's do not call list.

Have received several calls a day from different phone numbers. I have googled the different numbers and find these numbers are some student loan agency. I am on the "Do Not Call" Registry.  It is appears it does not help to be on the DNC registry. This is intrusive and annoying.  There must be some way to get these call to stop.

I have received over 30 calls from 800-335-9188.  I called them to tell them to stop calling.  They answer with Student Assistance Corporation.  At first they said they would add me to their do not call list and remove my number.  When the calls continued - daily and many times - they now deny ownership of the phone number.  I spoke with a supervisor named "Ben" who said he remembers me and removed my name, however, stated I must have the wrong number.

This number keeps popping up on my fax machine line.  I do not have any loans, am not, nor have I ever been late on any mortgage, credit card or any other debt.  So whoever is calling me from this number has no reason to contact me.

These people have been calling my house,they say my bson is late on a student loan payment. I do not know who they are,or if the calls are legitimate. I only know they should NOT be calling here.

Not sure why or who is calling but they call all hours of the day and late evening.

Called this number back, answered ...Student Assistance Corp.  I told them to remove my # from their call list.  Said I was on do not call list and would report them next time.  They said the list does not apply to them.  They then asked for my daughter.  Told them that she has not lived here for over 15 yrs and to remove my # or I would report them.  Said they would.  Now we will see if they do.

Call a few times a day. Comes up as a toll free number. Sounds like our last name in the beginning but cuts off the first name and references student loan. We don't have student loans. On DNC list also! This crap drives me nuts!

Continue to call. Continue to not pick up. Looking for someone who is not us, same last name. On the DNC list also. When will these people give up! Don't want to actually take the call and tell them not to call and tell them they have the wrong #. Makes me want to dump my land line!

I seriously get calls from these people from 7 am all the way to 9 pm. I have told them to stop calling numerous times, im on the DNC list. I even pick up and hang up on them now. I cant handle it anymore. I seriously think i have to disconnect my landline.

I found this when I entered the number. They call multiple times a day, never leave a message, until today when they said they were calling about a student loan. I do know that that some student loan people were looking for some guy who has the same last name, some years back, and I kept telling them I was NOT Jason, and knew no Jasons with my last name. Every few months, I would get another Jason call. My husband (different last name) has a student loan he's current on and paying, so maybe it's both Jason and my husband's current loan? These folks are insanely annoying. Is nothing to be done?

Are you also getting calls from USA Funds? All of a sudden, I'm getting multiple calls from this number and USA Funds. My student loans are current with Direct Loans, so they must be looking for someone else. Also, i've read the other comments. The fact that the call hangs up when you answer suggests that they get paid to CALL you, not for you to answer. These companies have to "prove" attempts to contact the borrower, not "prove" actual contact or to resolve a debt. It is more profitable to pretend they actually tried to resolve debt (not really) and send the borrower into default instead of REALLY trying to resolve the debt. I feel sorry for the person who they are really trying to contact, because they could say "we tried 100 times to call this person and they were uncooperative." I mean, they could look up my number and realize i am not the person they are looking for.

Just told me I owe for a student loan from 1972. I was born in 1975. They don't think anything is strange about this at all.
