I get at least 1 call daily, don't know who the caller is. I sent a text to the number which was unable to be delivered, its really annoying as I don't give my number out to business people.

I got this number ring me but it came up as +8003890043. Was the same for you or was it 08003890043?

This number called me several times today, each time no answer.
Very suspect!

Again they say they are from MBNA, and you are unable to return calls

I have been phoned everyday for the last week from this number. Whoever it is does not allow me enough time to answer the call! It is always about the same time of day too. I have tried ringing back but the only sound I hear is similar to the BT 'this number is no longer available sound'!!

I have been called by this number for the past 2 weeks!  The times I have answered, there is just silence.  I have tried ringing back as they never leave a voicemail and get the same BT answer.

Leave me the hell alone losers!

silent call from this number... getting too many in general now - they should all be shot!

In my case one call per day, silent on answer. Is there some way to block this number completely?

Exactly the same problem.5 times a week.

I've called o2 to express my annoyance at this number calling me upto 4 times a day, including in the middle of the night.

They are checking it out but advise people to register for the Telephone Preference Service at http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/ for a mobile, and hopefully the calls will stop.

BOORING, SAME CALLS EVERY DAY

My wife has been receiving similar calls and I have spoken direct to the security dept at MBNA who confirm it is one of their numbers. Namely linked to the security dept. It is used to confirm transactions thta may be suspicious etc..... I mentioned the fact the line appears dead and they say that there is an automated introduction which will commence when it detects some one on the other end i.e. when you say hello.  If it goes off it's probably because it has not detected your voice.  Hopefully this will alay some of your concerns.

I've had a number of these calls - very annoying. I've answered some and spoken but never any answer so not sure that what MBNA told "John - 15 Aug 2008" is correct. Suggest we all cancel cards/accounts with MBNA and see if this stops the calls

I have had 11 calls from this number in just one day bringing my running total to 14 calls in two days with the most recent being 2 mins ago. Answered it the first time but no one appeared 2 exist at the other end so I have added it to my blocked list.

Ah yes MBNA those idiots that keep posting me my PIN number. I get the beloved +8003890043 at least once a day.

me too - at least twice a day for the last week - no reply and if dialled just the message that this is not a vaild number. I am contacting MBNA about it to follow up on the above.
