I keep getting calls from this company.  I call and they do not identify who or what they are. The message says to refer to rf #9682923.  Must be some kind of scheme.

I got a call from them today too. Called them back and got someone who claimed they were a collection agency, yet didn't tell me thier name. Claimed I owed money on a utility bill for a state I didn't live in and tried to get me to give my credit card or checking account info "or else this will go on your credit report today".
When I said I would call the utility company to see about the bill they said "oh they won't have the information once they hand it to us" and when I asked them to mail me a letter to my current address to send them a check I was again threatened with it going on my credit report.
TOTAL PHISHING SCAM!

i called them today and they wouldnt say who they were it made me mad because all i wanted to see who it was.

I got a call on my cell with no message so I returned the call, thinking someone might actually appreciate being told they were calling a wrong number. The woman who answered was totally rude and unprofessional. If they are, indeed, a collection agency, I don't owe anyone anything I know of, and with their attitude they won't be collecting much from people who do owe.

This company called themselves " Diversified" and would not state their business clearly.

They called, then put me on hold asking for Steve so and so I told them they got the wrong number to stop calling or talk to my lawyer, she asked how can we get a hold of Steve, then asked me my problem and why I was being rude. Well you are the ones that called me, so she hung up on me, I am tempted to call back, but they will call again. All of my bills call my cell phone so they got the wrong house

This number appeared on caller-id on a pre-paid phone I had just purchased.I only had the phone number for a few hours so I knew the call wasn't for me and didn't answer.No message was left.

I have been getting messeges from this company for weeks now. I do not owe any money that I know of... and if I did they would be sending bills to my address. I'm tempted to have my fiance call them back... since I won't return calls like this. I'm sure it's a scam.

They have called 3 times and have left a message to reference a number, when I return the call. And I love that you can't actually tell who they are asking for, but the rest of the message is very clear.  I actually answered the phone and it was already a computer recording... I'm going to choose to ignore it based on everyone's feedback. I have already registered my phone for privacy,(https://www.donotcall.gov/) but I guess that really doesn't matter to them. Also, tried to file a complaint at the donnotcall.gov site, it will not take 800 numbers.

SCAM: I keep getting phone calls from 800 405 5085, several times a day. Today I decided to answer and wait online, as the recorded message prompted me to do. Finally, a young woman came on who had an immediate attitude. She asked for me, and I asked who was calling, she gave me her first name, then I said "from where" and she gave another answer with very little info, and then I said strongly "from what company" and she said quickly "Diversified." I then said even more adamantly "what is this concerning" and she would not tell me. I said "if you don't tell me what this is concerning, I'm going to hang up" and then she said "then I will keep calling!" I yelled, "then I will change my phone number!" and she started to say something rude but I hung up on her. I have no idea who these people are or what they want. I have had collection agencies call me before, and they will give the name of their agency willingly in the beginning, and will make sure who they are talking to and give their speech about collecting a debt, etc. This company doesn't ever leave a message, never tells who they are unless you do what I did above, and even then are just rude. After reading many complaints about them online, I feel this company is a scam and are their to scare you into paying something you don't owe, and they do it slowly with multiple phone calls in the beginning, and then finally talk to you and scare you into paying for whatever they come up with just to get your money. Due to these type of companies, phone service providers need to allow blockage of certain numbers, including toll free numbers.

Just received a call from the 800-405-5084 and a message was left on call notes to reply using a ref number.  Upon returning the call I spoke with someone named Mike who stated he was looking for someone named Felecia Fletcher.  I informed Mike someone from his company had called last month and I had spoken with a female and informed her shad the wrong number.  After confirming my telephone number she advised it would be removed from their call list.  Apparently this did not occur.  I asked Mike to remove my number and cease any further calls.  If the calls continues I will contact my State Attorney General's Office to seek legal action toward:

my story is the same as everyone elses. i got a call and a message that stated a reference number to use when i called back. they did not say what it was for, i called the number back and there was no information on this so called "company".

They keep calling.  I finally answered and they said I had an outstanding bill with US Cellular.  I said I've never used US Cellular and then they asked who I knew that opened an account under my name or that I opened as a joint account.  I replied no one and they told me I'd have to fill out an affadavit.  At that point I told them I'd call US Cellular.  

US Cellular had no record of my address, name, soc, etc.  The strange thing is that the so called collection agency, identified by the caller as Diversified Adjustment Service, had my address and last 4 digits of my ss #.  US Cellular also identified Diversified Adjustment Service as a collection agency they use.

i got the same thing as everyone else!! her name was anna and she was VERY RUDE!  she was looking to talk to my husband but he wasn't home at the time. I also go a call yesterday with a voicemail with the same rude attitude!! thank you all for writing about this "company" i would have never of knowen.

Got a call this morning from this number asking for Jose. I have been getting calls from all different numbers that come up as "800 service" for the last 2 weeks and everyone of them ask for Jose. My wife and i have told them 5 different times we do not know a Jose. I ended up going off on the rude lady last night and basically told her to go f herself. This was about 7:30 last night, then this morning at 9am we get another call, only it's listed under a different number. A bunch of low life scumbags here. They said this morning was the first time they had ever called here and they would take off our number off the list. Yeah right!

I just got a call from this number. It started with an automatic machine saying: "Please hold for an important business call" after which they put me on hold. After a few seconds of hold I figured that in my experience so far "important business calls" do not start in this fashion so I hung up and googled the number to find this page. Thanks so much to everyone for their stories! I now am better prepared for their possible future calls.
