I got my att phone bill showing i have been charged by ILD, I have no clue about it, is there anybody who can help me about this. Thanks

Cramming!

This number is from a so-called company called Universal Voice.  They represent a group of telemarketing scammers who get you to answer questions on the phone (one of them is answered with a "yes") or they get you to press a number on your keypad (press one for "yes") and either action authorizes them to charge ANYTHING they want on a bill/statement of their choice.  You've probably been paying for the service and don't even realize it!

I received my local telephone bill today the April 24th, 2008 that shown unauthorized charge of $16.30 by ILD Teleservices on ATT billing invoice with phone 1-800-433-4518, I do not have any clue about this bill!
How do I protest and stop this type of unauthorize billing charge

Just appeared out of the blue on my phone bill.
AT&T can't stop it

No change in any service. We don't have voice mail.
Our internet, cell phone & long-distance connections go through two other companies.

This has to be a scam known to the phone companies AND THRU THAT SAME 800 NUMBER. It's been all over the 'Net since 2001. Countless thousands of the same complaints. Google 800-433-4518.
The average rip-off is over $25 each month.

If these people call get a name of the person, Do Not give them your name!!!!

They are SCAM Artists.!!!!!!!!!!!!! They misrepresent themselves.  Report them to the BBB

I Got my bill from AT&T today with a charge from ILD for $49.95.  They represented themselves as AT&T to my office help. She told them that I was the only one to make changes to my service, and they went ahead and charged AT&T anyway.

I called them 11/26/08 and told them I was not paying this charge and to cancel. They Cancelled and gave me a conformation number. I then had to call AT&T and give them the confirmation number. They put it in as a claim so that I would not get charged late fees.  AT&T Told me it may take 2-3 billings before this would go away. Ther is no way they can blok this from happening because AT&T has an agreement with verious third party companies.

I Got my bill from At & T Having this 1 800-433-4518 ILD Teleservices charges $8.64. When I called them, they said we have registerd. They agreed to cancel but not to credit $8.64. How ca we get the credit back..

This # does not work!  I found another # to call, but was given another # which you can't get thru on.  How do I get this off my phone bill?

I went around and around for several months with AT&T and IDL.  After 4-5 months, I finally got this problem resolved.  IDL told me someone in my home had ordered voice mail service via the internet.  But nobody in my home had ordered it, although somehow they mysteriously had one of my email accounts.  (I previously had AT&T as my internet provider, so I'm assuming this might be how?)  I finally cancelled the email account altogether, hoping that would help.  

What you have to do is request from AT&T (or whoever it your regular phone service company) a Slamming & Cramming agreement form.  You complete this form and return it to them and this allows them to NOT be able to attach any slamming and cramming charges to your phone bill.  Be sure to follow up with them after you return the form to make sure it's in their system and in effect.  And keep a close eye on your phone bills!  Good luck - I know first hand how frustrating this can be.

This is the first time I have had this ILD Teleservice appear on my AT&T bill; it showed the number: 1 800 433-4518. There has to be a way to block this number.
The only call that seemed suspicious was an emergency call from an inmate from Harris County in Houston, Texas east faciity - Global Tel Link. I traced that from a number on my caller ID. I did not pick up or respond in any way. I screen all my calls.
Do these comments get any action to remove them from my phone bill?

I charges for ID Select Security INC. for $13.82.  I also just got billed $8.43 on my ATT bill for Transaction Clearing.  It says for VOICE MSG SVC SETUP.These are both scams and fraudulent. Why is ATT allowing them to do this? It makes no sense. I'll deal with it tomorrow during business hours but I am very frustrated with this. This is crazy!

Any "emergency" call from a harris county prison that asks you to dial another number is a scam.  They have people set their phone up to forward calls to another number.  you pay for calls from the inmate out to their friends.  if you get a call like that just hang up.

A $7.46 charge showed up on our April AT&T business phone bill for this ILD Teleservices.  The bill said for questions call 1-800-433-4518.  I called the number and was told by Rayann that their company is a National Directory Service and that someone here must have dialed 10 10 27 5000 or 10 15 15 8000 for directory assistance.  I told her nobody here would have called those numbers so she said (as a "courtesy") they will refund the charges if this is the first event and place a block on our number so that this won't happen again.  We are supposed to get a check for $7.46 in 7-10 business days...we'll see.

i got this charge of $7 on my AT&T bill this month... don't know why we have this number calling, cant' remember when receiving a suspected call like that...i hope AT&T can ban this number from calling my number

I too was surprised about a charge that I found on my phone bill for $12.95.  The phone number they charged it to is a phone line that is only hooked up to our alarm system so they could not have talked to anyone in our household.

I called my phone company CenturyLink and they reversed the charges and had me call the phone number.  If you call from you residential number all you get is a message stating the phone message box is full.  However, I insisted that my phone company call them after I told them it was a scam and when they called they answered and patched me through.  I talked to a "Tasha" who apparently is a person with no regard to honesty and she stated they were cancelling it and crediting my account. Crediting my account for something I never authorized!!!!!  She gave me a confirmation number and I called and gave it to my phone company.  Hopefully, if enough people do this we can put one more scam business out of business.  MAKE YOUR PHONE CALL ON YOUR BEHALF.

Thanks for posting this info... we just got billed from  ILD  and as i was on the phone with verizon and they were crediting my acct, and telling me i have to call ILD directly to cancel,  i did an internet search on their phone # and found this thread.  I was able to tell verizon about your experience and they patched me through directly to ILD.. who surprise surprise.  did answer their phone this time.. and issued a credit for unautorized services they were charging me ($19.95)  and a credit and confirmation # as well.  And get this ... they claim that I authorized them to bill me the $19.95 for getting nothing in return and that i did it twice.  What a scam they are.. and for those trying to get a credit from them and cancel their charge,  they will answer the other # which is 877-644-2964.  not the one provided on the phone bills.

It was added to my At & T bill for $27.65.  I called At & T and they credited the amount, but said I had to call the 800-433-4518 but don't really want to.  Do I need to?  Again, this was never on my bill before.  Don't know what it is and was not asked if I wanted it.

I got on my phone bill a charge that i know nothing about from ILD Teleservices, I Called the Telephone co they said it was a federal thang that they put it on the bill and they could not take it off or tell me exactly why it was for.  My service plan with ATT is DSL and Local call only !  This kinda stuff is wher they stick it to us. You add a $2 charge on everone's bill and see what kinds reveneue that so call company generates for themself

Everyone lets get ATT attention and drop there services and see if that will get there attention  what do you thank.  Lets go for it I am, I am just one let hundreds of thousands that will give them something to thank about.
