Receive calls from this number occasionally, but no one leaves a message.

This person identified himself as "Joe, the supervisor" He stated he was from a Corporation out of New York with Salle Mae for a student loan default. He knew everything about me and then asked for my routing number to my bank to withdraw money from my banking account to pay on my student loan. When I would not give him the information, he got rude and threaten to take the money through garnishment. They will keep calling your employer. I am going to send a letter to the State Attorney General's Office website and file a compliant and with the Better Business Bureau, due to asking for verification of an address to contact this company by mail. and they refused do that.

A caller from 800 436 6800 calls and ask if I am the person they are calling for. After saying "no" they continue to interogate me. Do you know this person, are you related to this person, is this your brother??? This after I said you hve the wrong number. They don't have the integrity to identify their company name or the type of business they represent. How am I suppose to know if they are legitimate or just some scam. I am not a resourse center for for bill collectors or any other agency who can't find someone. They need to leave people alone.

It is "General Revenue Service" they are a bunch of jerks calling people and screwing up your credit even when your already working with SallyMae!!! They also called me from 877-907-4530 so watch out they have a bunch of number to call from!!!

I got this message because they were trying to reach a co-worker of mine.  I don't release that kind of information, so he was disappointed -- not my problem!

This company has gone onto my Facebook account friends list and visited pages of friends who were not private and had their phone number listed. They proceeded to call people I went to highschool with over 10 years ago asking for information about me. All this and I am already paying over $400 per month for the debt they are trying to collect from me. they refuse to leave me alone and refuse to stop harrassing my friends and family.

that is what they are doing to be also.. I told them I would send them payments but she get rude and tells me they will just get it..

Calling me to try to get info about my fiance. Call repeatedly! Telling me to call back in regards to him but do not say who they are.

They are General Revenue Corporation, 325 Daniel Zenker Drive, Horseheads NY 14845.  Elmira NY Yellow Pages remarks that they have offices in Cincinnati and Indianapolis.  It appears that their Ohio office is the headquarters: 4660 Duke Dr, Ste 300, Mason OH 45040.  Judging by comments made on this and other pages, they are ruthless and unethical, although they may in fact be a legitimate collection agency (if such a thing exists) and not the usual type of scam.  My own experience with them is that they will disregard all written demands to desist from telephoning, usually switching to a new number wherewith to harass and annoy you.  Therefore you will want to keep accurate records and make complaints to the: Office of the Attorney General, The Capitol, Albany NY 12224-0341.    

I got a phone call referencing a past relationships name insisting that I call back... I was really weird and I haven't heard from this guy in over ten years.... I ignored the call and don't intend to call back, from the sounds of everyone else's post they must be trying to collect on some sort of debt he has.

Yes they do collect for sallie mae and they could possibly take your wages in due time if its not taken care of-----signed someone who lost her wages

Received two calls from this number one said they were calling about someone named Alexis with my same last name which is one if the most common names in the phone book.  I called back and the person said it was General Revenue Services.  I told them I have no relatives by that name and in fact know no one with that name.  They said they would put a "hold" on my number but we'll see if they stop calling.  If not, I will report them to the AG.  

They've called me 2 days in a row asking me to call them back about a Kenneth Chalmers and also left a reference number

They keep calling my mom's house phone, leaving messages for me, telling me to tell my husband to call them. Even if I was stupid enough to call someone back who didn't identify themselves in their (daily) voicemails, that is seriously unnecessarily convoluted. Ugh. You know it's debt collection when they just leave their first name without saying what company they're affiliated with.

Have had several calls from this company asking for a person unknown to me, daughter has been called, and now my son.  How to make them quit harassing me and others would be a blessing!

This number has called the main office of my organization multiple times and, while they won't leave a message on my personal office number, they have left reference numbers and information with people with whom I work, which is unacceptable.  I have attempted to return the call and got a message.
