Just got a call from this number, on our home phone, which very few people have the number to.

Says "courtesy call for GMCardholders".  Note that they never say that are HSBC, and they refuse to identify themselves.

I get 2 to 3 calls a day  from the same number 800-457-0158....shows up as unknown name.
When answered, there is silence on the phone,when called back, they say thanks for calling HSBC account regarding your credit card account. If you would like info on your account please press 1,if you want your number removed press 2, but they still call especially every night at 8:00...

HSBC calls me at least 2-3 times a day (anywhere from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.).  It's always regarding some "special insurance" on the account, and they want to send out paperwork for my review.  I've told them no, and asked to be removed from their telemarketing list several times.  Three times, they have sent out paperwork, signed me up for the program, and BILLED ME for something I refused.  I hang up on them now, or just don't bother answering the phone.

We received a call from this number at 9:27 last night.  I answered it because it was the second time we had received a call this late.  I asked the caller where he was calling from and he answered "India" and said that he was from HSBC.  I informed him that it is illegal in this state to call after 9 and he apologized, but I still hung up.

I get calls from this number on a regular basis, but I do not answer calls from numbers or people I do not know.  I beginning to think The Do Not Registry does'nt work real well, as I get calls all the time from lots of different unmbers, unknown numbers, unknown names, toll free and unassigneds.
