- vel| 17 repliesDO NOT purchase ANY APPLIANCE from Sears!!!! I did and I am SO SORRY. They will send a repair man with a computer only. NO PARTS. Parts will be back ordered from somewhere (they will not tell you where) and in a MONTH you may have your appliance "fixed" No customer satisfaction or caring AT ALL - it's your problem"
- Caller: Sears
- fayeSears appliance's don't hold up. Took 5 trips before they fixed my refrigerator. It had flooded my kitchen and hardwood floors. Charged me everytime and I know they broke my ice maker because it worked just fine until they worked on my refrigerator. Poor quality appliance, poor. slow service, and high prices. Avoid purchasing from this has been company.
- Mbo| 3 repliesI am with Vel....It took us over 3 and a half weeks for them to fix our washer. Mind you, we have 4 kids! We bought the wonderful "Sears" warranty and told us that it would be the best thing and keep us worry free. You will loose your mind talking to the idiots, which I call the "foreign relations line", as I referred to their awful Customer Service Line. Each time I talked to a total idiot that read from a prompt on the computer and barely new english. They too told me that the parts were going to be 5 to 7 days (which ended up being much longer!). The right hand does not talk to the left hand. I wish I would have researched more, I would not have bought my washer and dryer from Sears!
- CherylMy dryer broke. The sears guys were out the next morning and took care of it with little fuss. They had the parts with them to take care of the problem. Like everything sometimes you get the good guys sometimes not. I got the good guy
- Texas| 1 replyWe bought frig from sears and AC. They havee been the best service people we have used. Clean, kind and good.
I am in Baytown texas. Maybe they are better here - Tracy in Reading, PAI didn't know this was Sears. It said "Unknown Name" so I didn't pick up. When our repairman called later it said "Sears Holdings" with a different number. Had no problems dealing with Sears. They brought in a brand new pane of glass to go on my oven door. Of course we had home warranty to take care of cost of the part.
Our service guy came twice. Once to assess the problem. He ordered the part. It came. He came back to install it. And did a great job. He was neat, orderly and very polite. - renoSears Home Repair for over Washer
- TennesseJust an automated reminder for service tomorrow. Happy to get the call.

- Wendy replies to TexasI agree. I've been married 25 years and have only bought all of our appliances from Sears. I have NEVER had a problem with any appliance except for something "I" broke on our oven. Washer, Dryer, Oven, Microwave, Refrigerator, Garage Door Opener, Garbage Disposal, Dishwasher.....I guess we have been lucky which is why we will continue to buy all of our appliances from Sears.
- AnnoyedThis is Sears' home appliance repair. It seems like they are some seriously paranoid people about their customers being absent to the appointment, as this autodialer calls to confirm appointments about 5 times a day, every day for about a week ahead of time. It drives me nuts, and seriously makes me wonder if I will use that service in the future. They are as annoying as possible and just before you scream at them, the calls stop.
Be assured, when they do come for a repair, the classic line ALWAYS is, "OK. [the appliance] is broken and I will make another appointment for when the parts show up." NEVER expect them to bring anything helpful straight away besides a credit card machine and a PDA.
The parts eventually do show up, then the calls start again for several days, several times a day and finally someone comes to fix the appliance.
IT GETS WORSE IF YOU DON'T ANSWER... I tried that route and they just call more.- Caller: Sears / A & E / Appliance Repair

- Dan in TXSears calling with an automated reminder about a service repair scheduled through their website. The repairman called on his cell about an hour before showing up to the house.
Some people are bagging on Sears appliances, but our Kenmore refrigerator will soon turn 10 years old and this repair only cost $176. That's not too bad if you ask me. I have always had good experiences with Sears and will likely buy our next refrigerator from them as well. (..if this thing will ever die!)- Caller: Sears

- jean replies to velYes I agree the store has been going down hill for few years on customer service. I am currently in waiting game process trying to get a mower that was bought in Jan-repaired.
I bought a pooltable for my husband for Christmas and the store where I was supposed to pick it up at decided they wanted it for their own showroom and had it put together and everything. After a loud discussion I got my pooltable only to find out a few days later the money was put back in to my account and now it was considered stolen property. After several nasty emails and finally paying in person because I don't trust Sears the nightmare was finally over.
(I think) until now............
Oh the store clerk did give me a $10.00 gift card for my trouble but when I tried to use it they said it was expired... seriously!!!!!!!! - BA replies to vel| 1 replyTotally agree with vel about Sears co-called customer "service". Sears is not what it used to be. The people on that 800# for the most part have no control apparently over getting someone to your house sooner because you can't do any laundry due to a broken wash machine, and most of them don't seem to give a hoot. One of them picked a fight with me over whether or not we had cleaned our dryer vent, before he would schedule a repair appointment or my dryer.
