Got a collections letter from "UPS" stating I owe $30.78 for a package delivery.  I called the 800 customer service number the letter provided, and they couldn't really answer my questions...just stated that I had mailed a package a few months ago and owed them the money.  I never mailed a package on where I owed for the shipping.  So I looked up this number online.  UPS does NOT list it as one of their phone numbers on their website.  Nor do they have an outstanding balance on my account.  So this number is FRAUD and I want people that read this to always check out any unknown bills online before ever paying whatever amount they are asking for.

 This is also a billing with a possible fake ups notice I received. I grilled the guy. He could not help. Gave me a different Phone number of 800.811.1648. I did not call it as I am sure we have not done Biz w/UPS. He said he would transfer me and a woman answered and disconnected me before we could converse. I don't have time for BS so be careful.

One of our sales staff got a call saying our account "xxxxxx" was overdue and he passed that info along to me in our regional office.  I advised that we don't pay UPS directly and that was not our account number....so I would assume this is a fraudulent attempt.  I called the number and questioned the 'person in ar' to ask if this phone number would be found on the UPS website, and he was at a loss to tell me where I could find it.

I ended up calling ups directly after recieving a call from 800 477 7080 asking for my credit card information. They confirmed this is their accounts receivable number and it's not listed online because it's more of an in-company line than a public line but it is valid if I do have unpaid fees. But I still asked them for a website for me to pay online instead of over the phone.

This is the second time that I've been called from this number over the last few months. They left a message saying that I owe $305 for services rendered in January and February. This is completely false because I haven't received nor shipped a package using UPS since I don't know when. They gave me a tracking number and it was like 6 digits. I looked at the UPS site just in case and entered in the tracking number, but of course it wasn't valid. Since when is a UPS tracking number SIX numbers??? I believe the whole thing is a scam, just asking for money. Be very careful!

This number is valid and yes it comes from UPS. I received a call from this number about a balance owed which I am very much aware of. I made a payment with the rep who called me and its not fraud, not a scam either. The card was charged the exact amount that I paid over the phone. The number is UPS Accounts Receivable reason why it was not posted on their website. Reps on this number are very nice and accommodating. Good job UPS! It's nice making business with you.

I believe the SIX numbers they gave you is your shipper number and not a tracking. That shipper number cannot be look up at the UPS site. Don't be stupid. Know your account number/shipper number!

We ship using ups and have a revolving balance of about $3k, we are always paying it and shipping each week so the balance never changes. They keep calling us, I let it go to voicemail because they use indian call centers and I refuse to talk to a non american support agent. If they suspend us well just take our $48k in shipping a year to fedex.

This is a scam...got a call saying I was past due on 2 invoices. The man who called had my account number and my name (very scary). I called UPS (not this number they gave me)...they said I was current and on automatic bill pay...so sad that people make a living doing this. They will have to answer to a higher power one day...I pray for you scammers to change your direction.
