Received a call from this number saying they were with some collection agency (and I don't have any outstanding bills).  The name of the company was something like Weis or Wyle.

Received call today 8/23/2011 at 5:15pm.  This is a debt collector.  They try to scare you into thinking that you owe a debt of about $ 1,500.00 from Providian.  They call you to settle this debt.  They ask you to verify the last 4 digits of your social security number.  They are basically dialing for dollars, to see who falls into the scam.  I told the guy I spoke with to go ahead and settle my debt that I know I do not owe and he got aggresive and asked me if I had a sister, mother, aunt with the same name & why do people get upset when debt collectors call.  I told him why do debt collectors get upset when they are told the truth.

They have been calling my cell phone and leaving an automated voicemail for someone called Rachel Rodriguez, who I am not.  The voicemail says that if you are not Rachel Rodriguez, you have 3 seconds to hang up and if you do not hang up, we will assume that you are Rachel Rodriguez.  Pretty fishy is you ask me.  I have not returned the phone call.

They have called an left me a message twice regarding debt that I know that I do not owe and also a name that is not mine.  For me they claim to be from Live Financial.

They call me at least 1 or 2 a day, leaves v-mail. I never answer, and they don't leave a name. Extremely annoying!

Once a week I get a call from this number looking for Emily Hoffman. Each time I tell them we have no Emily Hoffman, know no one named Emily Hoffman, and don't give a damn about Emily Hoffman.  They say, okay, we'll take this number off the list.
And then they call again.

Morons just called again at the crack of dawn.  I can't believe this crap.

I got a call from this number 11/23/11 @1:15pm.  The message on my VM sounded like a recording.  
The name sounded like Wyatt or possible Weiss financial services.  I was kind of puzzled because I am thinking "I don't owe any debt!"  At this point i have finally paid of all of my debt and have solid paid on or have solid agreements and excellent payment history on the one remaining.   So I am glad I checked into this, it looks like this is truly some kind of scam!!  It's a sad thing, always someone out there to separate some one ... from there money.   There must be some remedies that we as consumers have in a case like this and  many other financial scams out there.

same thing happened to me. recorded message, then press 1 to speak to someone, then they are not clear about the "debt" owed. I don't have any outstanding debts & have asked them to stop calling me but they don't. this has been going on for sometime. I'm frustrated about what to do.

This Company Life Financial Services, using the phone number of 800-489-5953 started phoning and harassing me in August, 2011 about a bill that is over 8 years old and beyond the years of collection. They are trying to collect on a bill that was owed to Applied Bank way back in 2003. It isn't in Applied Bank's records any more. They have never sent a bill, but claim they did and they have my personal information. Buying and selling a person's personal information should be illegal.

Do't know who they are, but I don't owe anyone any money.  They don't leave a message.

So glad i checked out this phone number. they have been calling me too. i have no outstanding debt and was puzzled as to why they would call and never send a letter to back up the claim of debt. i have not returned the calls.

I have received several calls from this company about an old credit card charges back in 2003.  In 2008 I made arrangement with all my accounts and made payment to clear up all accounts. There is nothing on my credit report about this outstanding charge. I have a two credit cards active and current with the company they claim I owe.
Does this make any since? I'm going to call the company and let them know what this company is doing.

called today saying i owe debt. I owe no debt or no one and wondered if this is some identity theft? or is this a scam?

Providian is OUT OF BUSINESS.

I have been getting calls for a Shelby for a few years. Never had anyone with that name in our house or family. Every time we tell them to take us off but it starts again.

Does it really do any good to post?Ive reported this number on this site before.Nothing gets done. How do you get them to stop calling?I recently paid off everything.They continue to call for a debt I paid off over 3 years ago.So,reporting them on this site is evidently pointless.It used to come up on the ID as "Wyle Financial".Now it says "Toll free number".Hiding who they are proves fraud.

On March 24, 2012 at 9:25 pm received a call from 800-489-5953.  They did not leave a message on my cell and I never pick up any 800 numbers.  Thanks for letting me know of these scammers!
