Thanks, just got one too!   I have had two companies try to collect what my son calls a GHOST DEBT, whereas i paid off the debt to the two companies to their satisfaction and they hire these agencies to try to collect the rest or the whole amount again.

I keep getting calls from this number. I don't know who they are and will not answer this or any 800 number when they call. Can you help me find a way to stop these calls

These people keep calling me with the number 800-893-3081, and I never take the call. I usually answer and hang up immediately. They left a message on my phone telling me to call the number 800-496-0232. I called the number to have my number removed from their system and I changed my mind because they asked me to input my number to have it removed. I decided that they might be trying to tempt me to give them permission to do something with my phone number if I said what it was.

Why are they calling? I don't have any unpaid bills that need to be collected. I'm sick of these people.

So the company has called my 11 year old son's phone. I answered this time and was treated to classical music.

My fiance received a call from this number looking for me.  They would not give him any information and only said it was a personal matter.  I was scammed once out of $260 by people who said I owed a debt that I had already paid off.  But because I didn't have proof to back it up, they took advantage of that.  The second time someone called saying I owed a debt of $706, I refused to give them any information until they could send me proof of the debt.  And of course they had none, so I refused to give them anything. They then called me with an automated message saying a warrant had been issued and an officer of the court was being dispatched for my arrest at either my home or my job.  I hadn't seen an officer yet.  Don't be fooled by these creeps; they are only out to scam you and rob you of your money. Anytime a "collection agency" calls you, you have the right to receive proof of a debt they claim you owe.  So ask them for that information before giving them a credit card number or your SS#.

I get calls on recently set-up cable phone. Always automated, can never understand the name of the person they're supposedly trying to reach. The voice synth is garbage. I have never had any bad debt. They have not removed my number. Just more annoyances.
