Called here at 9:00AM. No message, we do not answer.

Called at 9am on Sat morning, and a recording left a messagefor someone who does not live here.  When you call back, and press the option for wrong number, the system puts you on permanent hold.  No one answers to take your complaint.

Collection robo-caller.
They have my number by error.
No easy method to correct, so I can't be bothered but hopefully they will clean up their database.

This place calls me at least 2 or 3 times a week. Sometimes more. They leave no name (of person w/ debt) and they say when I call back to use this reference # - but they don't leave any reference #. I'm afraid to call the number back, because you hear so many stories about people calling you and if you call back/punch buttons, etc they have access to your phone # for long distance/international calls. How do you get it to stop?

Our non-profit phone number continues to receive recorded messages from 800-496-7619 with a message for someone totally unknown to us.  Apparently this is a collection agency.  We have called numerous times, pushing 1 as advised in a greeting to have number removed.  That appears to be their way of getting people they are trying to reach to actually get into their call center.  If you wait long enough, a person answers, takes the number and looks up the name of the person they are after.  They claim that the phone number will be removed from their system within 24 to 48 hours.  When asked if there is a file number or reference that can be used should we need to call in again, they provide their "back line" which is 800-496-7613.  A google search of that shows the same as this site.
Lots of luck to those who are dealing with this company who should be hit with a federal order for violating the "do not call" orders.

I currently work for a Consumer Rights Legal firm and according to these facts, you might want to seek legal advice.  These could be possible violations of the FDCPA or TCPA and the company could be forced to pay statutory damages to you.  It is also a strict liability statute that forces them to pay legal fees as well.  So you wouldn't have to pay an attorney, they would likely take the case on contingency.  So I recommend contacting an attorney about FDCPA or TCPA violations regarding this debt collector.

they call me all freakin day

This number now has a caller ID that shows up as United States. Well it did on my phone. Asks for me by name and wants me to choose 1 if it is me, which I did and then I was put on hold.

Calling all hours of the day and they don't even have the right person....

I got call and ignore it the caller 800-496-7619, call me @7:53PM.
