They called about a debt card, I didn't even have, probably a fact

Seems legit.  They called me about getting my PIN wrong on an ATM three times, they knew exactly the transaction I'd been trying to make, but they did ask for a lot of personal information before they would move forward (and unblock the card / send out a new PIN).

Caller identified themselves as from "California Bank" then corrected themselves immediately to "Zions Bank"; looks like this is a visa debit call centre who handle multiple banks.

Both Zions Bank and California Bank & Trust are owned by the same holding company, Zionsbancorporation, headquartered in Utah. The holding company also owns banks in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas. See www.zionsbancorporation.com.

Amegy Bank of Texas.  Calling about possible fraud on my account/debit card usage.

They called to make sure a charge on my debit card was legitimate - it was a small charge to a company in Scotland that I'd never charged to before, so they just wanted to be sure it was legit.  They were very helpful and polite.  I'm glad they called to follow up on it - I'd rather take five minutes to talk with them than have somebody making fraudulent charges to my account.,

It was Amegy Bank.

actually got this call to verify I made a charge on my card. I did make the charge and I am glad they called to verify it. Usually they lock my card until I call them if they are unsure of the purchase. I have told the debit card company to call me instead of just locking the card. Nice to some people pay attention.

Someone tried to charge $500 to my debit card at a Best Buy and they were calling to let me know.

This is legit. It is from California Bank and Trust asking about suspicious activity on my debt card. I charged something from a foreign company and it looked suspicious to them. No big deal. Before I called back, I double checked with my bank if they are legit or not and they are.

Bank calling about activity on my debit card. The called turned out to be from the larger group in Utah that owns my California bank. I just called the number on the back of my card to be safe and confirm.

Zions bank re:potential fraud

Called for remote computer repair;  hacked my debit card
