- T. O| 2 repliesReceived a call from 1-800-518-6139, and the person on the line stated that is was from First Bank of Delaware, and was asking for my Bank Account number. I
He stated that it was in regards to a Internet loan, that I had taken out, and was asking for the routing number and bank account. The person stated that this was the only way to pay, was requesting a copy of my check. I asked for the addres where i could mail a payment to the bank, and he stated that I needed to send the payment via a Money Gram and gave a RCV Code # of 6686. I kept on asking for the address to the bank and he gave me the Rcv Code and stated that it was Fort Worth, Texas.- Caller: First Bank of Delaware

- spunky replies to billFirst Bank of Delaware is a actually a legitimate company. They offer installment loans, basically payday loans with longer terms. The site they are connected with is called Thinkcash.com. I've gotten loans through them before as a last resort. Very high interest but also stick to what they say, havent had any problems with them, no extra money taken out of my account. They even worked with my when I couldn't make a payment on one of my due dates.
- just meI get a call from this almost daily. I don't answer 800 number calls. They don't leave a message just hang up.
- D EI also received a call from this number. Prior to that I got a reminder for a payment--but I took out no loans with anybody. I filed a BBB complaint, which was forwarded to First Bank of Delaware, but First Bank of Delaware could not locate any account. If any loans were taken out, they may have been taken out and my phone number happened to be the unlucky number furnished. I have had no prior dealings with the company (thinkcash) that originally sent the reminder.
Filing a police report next, and an FTC complaint against both First Bank of Delaware and Thinkcash. I will get to the bottom of this, because I get more than one phone call per day.- Caller: Purported First Bank of Delaware but unsure
- CustomerI am a customer of First Bank of Deleware. I have not had any problems until my bank account had to close due to another automatic payment that was not to have been taken out. Now I am working with a financial planner, to get out of debt, but First Bank of Deleware will not leave me alone even thought they are getting money each month.

- DanI started by searching the phone number on google and this is what it lead me to. I get called daily with the automated message to call them. I tried contacting my phone company (tmobile @ home service) and they said they cannot block the number. I am already on the do not call list. This is very frustrating. I have never dealt with this company or do I have any odd ball loans. I have overall perfect credit history and somehow these scammers are calling me. If anyone finds a solution please post it since I feel many others will be lead to this topic and like me will be looking for answers.

- cckrll62My husband took out a loan with these people. We are having problems right now and I do not see him everyday. I wish they would quit calling my number and call him. I have sent them a note telling them that he is not here and quit calling me. Unfortunately, that doesn't work. They call my phone approximately 10 times a day. Got a phone call last night around 8:30. I was already in bed asleep.

- BabsThis Debt collector works for the ThinkCash Payday Loans. They will only bother you if you did not pay off your loan. I have a loan with them and they are very nice when I call them. I also had a financial issue and they worked with me to clear it up. Yes, there are bad debt collectors out there, but read up on your state laws as to what they can say and do. Also do not give them any more info then what they may have. The collectors make bonuses off of how much they can collect, I use to work for Amex and our paychecks were based on how much we collected. Log phone calls, names and times. If it gets out of hand, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and the FBI at IC3.gov and the local police if they threaten you. Remember once you go out onto a website for a payday loan, you are not getting the lender, you are getting a third party who routes all your info via internet to the lenders. (Read the Disclaimers very carefully) And remember your info stays out there.. What they do is then build the profile on you. And it is easy to get more info by visiting your Facebook page, MySpace, blogs and anything you put on line. Maybe you didn't take out a loan and I wish you luck trying to prove it, it will take awhile and you will need an attorney. Once you fill out the form with your bank info, they have you. They are known to manipulate fake checks that some banks miss and actually cash, they do ACH withdrawals on weekends when they know most banks are closed and by Monday, your money is gone. And they also will try to fake documented paperwork that look like court papers, so get an attorney if that happens. Any debt collector should send you a certified letter of the debt. And by all means do not pay them via a credit card or prepaid card. For more info go to the FBI website, they explain the scams and what to do. Or just go online and google payday loan scams, there is plenty of info on what to do. Ever wonder what car dealers do with your fully filled out loan app when the loan is denied????

- K C| 2 repliesPhony debt collectors with Indian accents are calling people trying to scare them into paying debts that are not theirs. Some of the company names they use are American Credit Services, TAC Evolution, Allied Financial Services, CashNetUSA, Sonic Bank, Sonic CashNet, CashLand, and Cash America. If you know of others, please add them in the comments section below. The fake debt collectors call and say you will be arrested and thrown in jail unless you send money immediately. The amounts claimed seem to be $400 or $1,095 and a smattering in between. The calls most often arrive on a Friday when all government office are closed so you can’t check out their story. The callers use the names of real attorneys they found on the internet. The goal of the scam is to scare the person getting the call into sending money via Western Union or MoneyGram or to give up their bank details to hit your bank account, in order to prevent the police from coming to arrest you in the next few hours. If you want to listen t what these calls sound like, click here. Apparently there are a number of telephone numbers tied to this scammer that I believe is calling from a call center in India via voice over IP, (VOIP). So the callers really are not even in the United States although they pretend to be. Armed with the contact information the scammers in India call make outbound calls on a VOIP telephone line and forge any outgoing phone ID they want. It’s not hard to do. (By the way, if you want to unmask any blocked number and find out who is calling, try Trapcall.) They might even use a number from a block of VOIP numbers they’ve rented to receive return calls. After a short period of time they dump the number and start using a new number. I found at least one of the numbers listed as being used by these scammers was issued by LES.net, a VOIP service provider.

- workinghard replies to K C| 1 replyMy last payment to them did not process due to NSF the first time through. It is now paid, but they are trying to hit my account, which I cancelled for $33, (the NSF fee AND interest). Because that account is now closed, they were calling me two times a day, and now today it was 4 times. I thought I had fixed it and the account was paid off. I can't believe that for $33 they are calling my work phone so often and not even leaving a message. I'm have tempted to not pay them the $33 just because they are hassling my work phone so much!
- SB| 5 repliesGot a call from this number this morning at 8:03. When I answered an automated caller advised me that this was a "very important call" and that it was "not a sales call." I was asked to please hold for the next available agent. Of course I hung up. Any legitimate company would have identified itself from the beginning. Now, after what I have read here, I see I made the right decision. Of note, I have no debt other than a car loan through the manufacturer, and several credit cards--all current.

- kelly replies to SB| 4 repliesTo everyone that posted on here about thinkcash.. they are no longer in business first bank of delaware sold themselves to an I ndian tribe called plain green loans you do not have to pay them a cent .. plain green loans is an ilegal internet payday oan ( installment loan) do not give them any info!!!
- Nicki M. replies to kelly| 2 repliesAre you sure Plain green loans is illegitimate? I just took out a loan with them and the interest rate is dumb expensive, like why would i do that to myself? Anyway I did not accept the loan and they sent it to my account any ways the following day. I spent it, and I know I cannot afford to pay them back, But I never signed anything with them so I dont feel obligated to pay them back, they are good scammers!!! Also: I closed my account so they're assed out!
- GeorgiaPeach replies to Nicki M.Plain Green Loans are a real company. I unfortuntaly had some financial issues and had to take a loan out through them. Now its taking forever to pay them back!
- jimI recently filed for bankruptcy and had my debts, as well as this one discharged. These people still keep calling me 10-12 times a day, with this number and their 866-722-2770 number. Thought this was illegal. They never leave a message and if you answer they argue with you in a thick Indian accent and make threats. Screw them!
- BruceThis company is legitimate and collected on behalf of plaingreenloans.com and they were courteous with the arrangments they made and surprisingly weren't a company with all foreign speaking individuals with no clue of the acct status. Some of these 800#'s are scams however this one seems to be ok. Be mindful any place that threatens you with criminal charges i.e. having a sheriff coming to your home or putting you in jail over a debt is a fraud and only trying to scare you out of your credit/bank info. As a prior collection rep and repo agent there are strict guidelines for collection practices under the FDCPA. Remember this and you will be fine.
- Curious replies to kellySo how do I get away with not paying them? Will they screw up my credit?
- abqdragonPlain Green loans collections, outbound call even though payment arrangement already set up. Rep reviewed notes and apologized for extra call. Previous rep was also professional and courteous.
