This company called my job and left several messages.

Got a call from this number siting 'internet activity' from my work email.

I received a call from this number at 5:10 a.m. It is illegal for creditors to contact anyone at this time.

This scumbag company is Viking Recovery Services.

i got a call about some kind of internet activity on my email but it's a collection agency. isn't it illegal for them to lie?

got a call this evening on my machine. Ms Bonner from VR Services. sayin a claim against me was on her desk citing internet use from my home email address. had the last 4 of my SSN too. guesing its a collection agency...get in line trick! lol

Rcvd a call at work from this number, caller left message with a fellow employee for me to call back. left following message with my co-worker:
Call Investigator Moore at 1-800-521-9660,ext 146, matter of urgency."
Isn't that breaking one of the FDCPA rules?  You bet it is. No. 1-- impersonating a member of law enforcement:  an investigator.  2) divulging more information than is needed to a co-worker.  And saying "this is a matter of urgency".   I will be sending this company a cease and desist letter.

I keep getting this phone call over and over from them trying to reach my fiance.  This is total bull

fdcpa rules state that they can't say they're calling you regarding debt collections but they can state their companies name if it doesn't give away that they're collecting. They can call themself Investigator Moore... and saying it's urgent/important is legit. That message left with the coworker is completely legitimate. It's not impersonating.. it's most likely an Alias because debt collectors are the most threatened people. Been there done that quit that job... it sucks to be a caller as much as it does to receive a call.
