This is a collection agency

They are trying to collect on a debt that passed the California Statute of Limitations years ago.  I informed them that according to the law I had sent a certified letter advising the company holding the debt that it was no longer collectable and to cease contacting me.  This company knows these are debts are no longer viable if you choose not to pay them but they continue anyway.  They do use fraudulent methods they called my place of employment and left a message with a co-worker that the Sheriff's office was looking for me to serve me papers.  That is an out right lie and according to the law even if it was true they cannot reveal this type of information to anyone especially to your work place.  What can be done to stop this sham?

They called my mothers house. My father is in ICU dying and they tried to strongarm information out of her. I called them back and they would, of course, not provide any information. They had nothing to go on, I The man told me that if I could verify my last 4 of my SSN then he could give me more information. Are you kidding me? They suck at this. I gave them bogus info and of course they said, "oh yes, we have a civil lawsuit pending", we just need to verify amore information. Act as an ass, and they stop calling. Laugh at them and they hang up.. Said they were from T&H . Called them back a second time and found out the it T&H Financial and supposedly they are in Riverside California.  And yes, I blocked my number each time. Turn-about is fair play.
