recording on voice mail.  said to call  800 545 2386 ext 3484 about a long list of numbers. Assumed it was phising or a scam.

A Mr. Wesley called last night, sounding very business like and demanding that we contact him before a specific time frame/date or else.

They are a collector, they buy debt and attempt to collect old past due accounts.

These people are ridiculous and obtained my husband's ss# fraudulently.
They never cease and lie lie lie to get you to pay a debt that is not even yours. Nothing has ever appeared on our credit report that they claim he owes. They sometimes call 5 times a day and called three times on Christmas Eve day. Pathetic.

This number seems to be for CI & Associates.  

They are debt collectors but with even lower standards than most.  They will call family, friends and have no problem giving out information about you without making sure they are talking to the right person.  

They also like to make false and bold claims of what they are going to take from you without really having the ability to do so.  Maybe this works on some people but to anyone that has dealt with debt collectors before, CI & Associates are a joke.

they made claims that i owed $1,000 on a closed account on an old debit/credit card

apparently a debt collector, called MY PLACE OF WORK and said they "have a legal claim" in my county. They provided a file number on the voicemail.

I had a message on my work phone from a "Tom Valento" to call him back and reference such and such number. I called him back but no answer so I left him a message telling him to NOT call my work phone because this is a personal matter. He proceeded to call me back on the work line again and I answered. He said he had gotten the message and I asked him again why he is calling me on the number again anyway and I hung up on him. He called back again but I answered and told him to not call me back again and hung up. I proceeded to my secretary to inform her that if he calls again to NOT put him through. She said that he had asked for the address and she gave it to him. I called him back and asked why he needed my work address and he was very rude and wouldn't tell me which company he is collecting for and proceeded to tell me that I am going to be served and sued and will have my wages garnished. He said that the phone conversation was being recorded so I let him finish talking and hung up the phone. He is definitely not pleasant to deal with and he said that I had plenty of chances to work with him and save some money. BS!

Left a message. Said they were a law office.  Something about "forced court recovery" gave a case number with my local courthouse courthouse. Said he would be having sherrif deliver summons. I went down to courthouse, nothing on file so far.

they called and wanted a call back by a noon. they also called another number of a relative and gave them all my person information about what was going on. they a of a very very low standard of the human race.

I called them back and they are from creditor's interchange

I repeatedly have received calls from this number for people who do not live here. I have called them back telling them to not call this number because the person they are looking for does not live here - received rudeness and they hung up. By the way, my credit score is over 800, not hardly debt colector material and my name is not Tia!

Received a call from CI & Associates, a Mr. Rapples (?), saying that I am the contact person for _____________, and that the named person must call him by cob 8/26 about a Notice of Intent.  Mind you, I am certain that the caller was lying.  The only person I know of who has even a similar name is the person who bought my house five years ago.  It was an arms-length transaction.  I moved to a different city and do not hold the mortgage.  I wouldn't know the person if I bumped into him on the street.
