Caller just said first name of person looking for, as if they were a friend. "Jimmy!"  It was for my dad, so i just asked to take a message for him.  Guy acted like he was a friend, but the 800 number was a dead giveaway. They gave no other information as to who they were or what they wanted.

This is an 800 number for a debt collection agency called Asset Acceptance, LLC

These people are frauds -  we know this because we owe NO ONE! We keep telling them they have an incorrect number and to take us off their list. Now it's a complaint to the Attorney General in Michigan.

I received a phone call from 248-605-0943, who informed me that if I continue to listen on my voicemail, that I validate I am so and so. She stated she was from Asset Acceptance, Co. and I needed to return her call, which she left phone number 800-545-9931 x7563. Why do these people continue? They are calling my cell phone and harassing.

There needs to be a end to this madness!!!

they also called me and have for a little over 2 yrs or so.  They recently called my work and left a number to call.  I searched online and found it to be them.  They are not legit so I do not even bother.  I have filed a complaint with the AG in Michigan about this matter also.

They are calling my former employer and the lady at the desk is tired of them calling. What can I do to make them stop harrassing her? They have my home number, isn't that enough?

I keep getting numerous  calls from this number. At least once a day. Each time I say "hello" twice and they hang up. I know someone is on the other end, because I can hear them breathing.

i am getting these calls for a previous owner of my phone number. i do not want these call coming to my number

Do not answer. Period.

These people call everyday at least 5 times a day.  They start at 8:10am until 9:00pm. Something needs to be done about these jerks.

They call my work only and I pick and hang up when the screen shows me it's them.  I am so tired of them calling me. I answered one time and some woman was on the other line, she started to tell me if I'm this name, which I said yes, then she said I had a matter that needed to be addressed. So I asked her what this was for and she told me that I have an outstanding debt that I needed to take care of. Ok, I asked what was the my SSN, couldn't give that, she didn't have that, ok, give me the the last four digits to my SSN, couldn't give that, told me that she didn't have that information. Ok, I asked her what was the address she has for this "supposed" debt, she didn't have that,ok, who was the creditor, couldn't give that either. At this time I asked her what information does she have and she told me only the debt amount. I then proceeded to get real short with her and said that she calls me, has no information and expects me to pay this? I told her well go back to this creditor, get that information, send me something in writing within 10 days after this conversation and I will take this to a lawyer and find out what my next steps are for this harassing. She then started with the this is going to be filed and I will go to court, etc., etc., etc. I then told her she must think we are fools that would give money to people who call and threaten but have NO INFORMATION on me so say it's even mine. Then I told her, I check my credit report every month and I have NOTHING in the negative on it. I told she was full of it and to send me what I requested and we'll talk again when I receive it. I don't have any debt outstanding, only house and vehicles and those are owned by the banks and the only credit card I have is with one of those banks which has a 0 balance(just paid the last balance in Dec).  I told her that I will be filing with FTC because this is unacceptable.  It's been two months and no letter on the debt so I hang up their calls now.

These people call my house at least 8times a day. They always call about 10 to 15 minutes apart. I'm so glad that I can BLOCK them them. Really someone needs to do
something about them.
