They call and call and call! When will it stop. Only once did they actually get on the phone, all of the other times were silence. I could hear someone in the backround but that was it. I am fed up! What good is the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST. I filed a complaint, we shall see!

Too frequent calls.  CID Blocked.

I get calls from this number even three times per day. They do not leave message. They call at strange hours as well. Anyone knows how to block this number?

At 1pm PST on Dec 15, 2007 (Saturday). I recieved a call from the same number as before, this time I answered it as: "I am recording and reporting this call... go ahead and speak." And guess what? Somebody answered.

The individual asked if they could speak with "nick on behalf of US Cellular"... and that this was a "Survey call". I warned this individual that I am taking notes and than I will be filing yet another complaint for the call. I told the individual that they made the call on a private company cell phone. The individual then stated that he wasn't able tell what phone numbers were being called, that it was an automated process. He just follows the instructions provided on a per call basis. (Some "survey, ey"). Before the conversation was over, I stated that I am demanding they comply with law and remove the cell number from their list, and prove me the name of the company or individual that provided the number to them. He stated that would would see to it that it gets done immediately. *Yeah, sure buddy*

To help you guys understand why I really am disturbed by this call, I will tell you about my personal life a little.

I have a $1,380 cell phone bill with US Cellular, which at the the time the account was open, was listed under Nicholas Maietta. Every business I deal with I use by full real name of Nicholas Maietta. Recently, I was provided a company phone.. with the name added to the account as "Nick Maietta". I didn't add that name, the company owner did. As a result, when I was contacted by the "harrasing" caller; I was addressed as "Nick" on behalf of US Cellular. This is no longer circumstancial evidence. I can reasonably be assured that US Cellular somehow provided the name to a collection agency for the purpose of attempting to collect information.... such as household income, etc.

My email address is nick at premoweb.com ... please if anyone would like to help me pinpoint the actuall owner of the 800 number, I will help dig up as much dirt on the company or individual and will do everything in my power to legally shut them down.

They just call and hang up when the answering machine commes on.

They hang up when the answering machine picks up.  This is about the 6th call i've recieved from this number. ONly this time the caller id reads:  Toll Free Call

what good is the DO NOT CALL LIST when we receive calls like this everyday!!! I can't imagine how many calls we would receive if we were NOT on the list!!! It would be scary!!! I am sick of it!!! I don't know how these people get away with it!!!!

This number showed up on my caller ID 8/22/08 @ 4:36pm it showed as belonging to TRC. No message was left.  I have been on the no call list for a long time & I make sure that I keep that up to date.  I have had other calls where no one is there that just stated Toll Free Call.  Maybe this was them also.  If it is they can stop at any time.

4th call from tollfree number 800-552-9841.  I called the number back.  It's TRC a Market Research company.  To remove your number dial the number back and choose #1 to leave your number and they will supposedly remove it.  We shall see!!!

They phoned me again three times yesterday and did not leave a message intentionally. I got a message from the first call and I could hear some dimwit asking for me then speaking to someone else in the room with her syaing 'I got an answering machine' or something to that effect. The other times they hang up without leaving a message.

If you start answering these calls on the first ring with an ear piercing scream into the mouthpiece, I'll bet you won't hear from them again - and you won't have to go through the bother of requesting they remove you from a list you never asked to be on in the first place.

I have the same experiences as all of you with this number, in an earlier post someone gave out the name and address of the company this number belongs to BUT I also found the email address of the President of the company, maybe if we pelt him with enough emails he'll pull our numbers from his lists, so here it is:

I received a call from this number 1-800-552-9841. They didn't leave a message. I have been on the Do-Not-Call-List for years and just renewed it.

A woman from TRC called, asking for the person knowledgeable about our telecommunication services.  My boss doesn't have time to talk to every hee-haw who has to make their call quota for something we don't need. Obviously, if they were able to contact us, then we already have telecommunication services in fine working order.  I always put them on hold, until they hang up. I guess that makes me knowledgeable, huh?
