Qwest phone company calling to confirm repairs on my phone line were completed.

I want the calls to stop as I am registered with Do Not Call.

While this IS a legitimate Qwest phone number used for: event/service notifications, It is negligent on their part that they don't appropriately identify themselves with their call identifier.  They inadvertantly drop themselves into the category of fraudulent/unwanted/solicitation calls because they do NOT appropriately notate the ORIGINATOR of the call.
Corporate Qwest... are you listening... this is a hint to further improve your service.  You provide service FAR better than anything I ever received from AT&T in 10 years in California and Nevada... just want to help you to continue to improve!

This 'Toll Free' 800 # is indeed Qwest confirmation of new service.  Definitely should identify it as Qwest on Caller ID.  Very odd behavior for a telecom business.

Readout says: QWEST COMM. Caller claims to be a QWEST telephone rep making sure that your service is o.k. Then caller tries to sell you a repair/warranty package for all of your home electronic equipment. It's a scam that has hijacked the QWEST name. Beware!

why is it that Americans can't get these customer service jobs? I guess we need to move to India or China.

Received both an email and phone call a day apart, have made no changes to my account.
The email has me concerned, they had my correct account number but then again, it's my own phone #, not too tough to get.  Not sure how these scumbags got me email address.
Reported through Century Link message via their website but have not seen reply.

Don't know who this person or persons are, but they just call and then do not respond to anything.. Why I have no answer.. But it gets to be a problem..

What I Know That  Is Old Fashion But Damn Sure Works On All Those Unwanted Calls.. They Will Not Call For Sure After Two Calls Unless They Are Some Real Dumba_ _, Blow A Referees Whistles In Their Ear.. As Loud As You Can Muster It Will Break Their Eardrums If They Get Hit Two Or More Times..  Depending On How Loud You Blow It.??  And It's All Their Fault.. I've Done It And Believe Me It Works.. All Those Rude Calls Stopped. Never Went Pass Two Calls.. Just Give It A Try.. What Do You Have To Lose.????

I called this number for service and it is posted on the century Link invoice for service. it tried to sell me a medic alert bracelet because I was over fifty.  then they wanted to sell me a 100 dollar gift card for a 1.49. Then I was offered a special deal on Direct TV. Each time I hit zero on my phone in attempt to talk to a service rep I got another offer.  Never did get a service rep on this number.  REMEMBER I GOT THE NUMBER FROM THE CENTURY LINK MONTHLY INVOICE.

I agree with Adam "Very odd behavior for a telecom business".
They are now Century Link and the CID still shows up as 'Toll Free'.
I do have a repair ticket and I am waiting for repairman to show up.
If they want to talk to me, leave a message and present the proper CID.

This was CenturyLink calling to confirm an upcoming repair appointment. They did leave a voicemail message. It would be so much better if they identified themselves on CID.
