This is a junk debt collector. Make sure you do not admit that you owe the money until you have investigated it thoroughly. They buy old debts that are no longer valid and try to collect. If you admit to owing the money, then they have you and can report you to credit companies. Unfortunately this is legal to do, but you should never admit that you owe it unless it is within the statute of limitations.

I have been receiving calls from this # for more than a year! They're looking for someone I don't even know. I changed my voicemail recording saying that my number doesn't belong to ADAM BEAMER and that I don't know him. They STILL leave messages. I called them a few minutes ago and advised them that I will be filing a complaint with the attorney general for their state. If a collection company receives a letter from the atty gen, they have to respond IN WRITING to that letter and explain how they've resolved the matter. We should all flood the atty general with letters complaining about it.
