- Anonymous| 1 replyThis is the phone number that printed on my bank statement for an unauthorized magazine subscription purchase. The automated system that answers this number is troubling to say the least and and it seems to be impossible to speak with a real person to have the payment refunded upon cancellation of the unauthorized subscription.
- anonmore than 75 dollars have ben charged to my account for magazines I NEVER asked for....
- anonymoussome here but, i call to get it cancel but i still am being charged...
- LisaI received an authorization on my bank account for a $13 charge for magazines I never ordered! I am calling my bank to have them research and remove this ASAP!! I work too hard to get what little money I have and this is not happening!

- TracieI too saw today that I have two pending transactions against my checking statement with this 800# and the name TWA magazines. I immediately spoke to someone at my financial institution who told me I can't do anything about it until the actual charges posts!!!!
I will be contacting the BBB and filing a complaint.- Caller: TWA

- Victoria Magazine reader| 3 repliesThis showed up on my bank statement, then I realized why. I had received 4 "free" magazines with a $2 processing charge for completing a survey. They would automatically be renewed unless you cancel, which they stated from the get go. The 800 number I saved from my initial order is faster to cancel with. It is 18004292550. Also they have a web site : www.magcustomerservice.com
Hope that helps others!!!- Caller: N/A

- Peg replies to Victoria Magazine readerThanks! I will give this a try.
- ErinI was shocked to see this on my statement as well, however, i did not have an issue or problem getting ahold of someone. I dialed the number and did push 0 until I talked to someone, she was very nice and explained what happened. What I did was on Bizrate, signed up for two magazine free trials with the small processing fee, this was back in February 2012, She canceled one of them, no problem, and said on the other one, if i wanted to, i could still get the rest of the issues and then cancel at no extra charge. she said to call the number and listen through to the end, dont push any buttons or make any selections. at the end just press 00#. she said the pending charge that i was seeing on my statement was only a 1.00 to test it out before everything was automatically renewed in february. so, hope this calms some people down. i felt silly because i was a little snooty with her but then when i finally asked when these "subscriptions" were first placed, i realised that it was something i did almost a whole year ago and they were simply renewing everything as stated in the initial order....
- Matt010288Definitely use that site link posted by Victoria Magazine reader. it worked well. the only scary thing is that it gives you very tricky options to cancel. when asking if you want to cancel your current subscription and continue with a new sale on a new subscription click NO, when it asks if you want to cancel click YES. however, EVERY SINGLE confirmation # is exactly the same. cancelled 3 magazines and got 3 identical confirmation #'s.

- Elizabeth S.I was charged $1.00 for a magazine order I DID NOT order. How do I get it removed from my account? I am going to report this charge to my bank. I was in my bank account.

- J. T.Same as others--$1 charged to my checking account for a magazine I never ordered.
- Amanda replies to Victoria Magazine readerThanks so much, Victoria. That was very helpful.
- A CThis number just appeared on my bank account as a Time Magazine charge for $1. We have a subscription to Time, but have not renewed it using this account. Looks like a scam. I've reported it to the bank.
- JanieSame experience here, for folks who've received charges more recently, for subscriptions they don't want - it's auto-renewals for magazines you took for $2 per magazine, as a reward for a bizrate survey. As said earlier, call the 800#, and when asked for voice or touchpad, use touchpad. That gives you the option to hit "0" again to get customer service. Or pick voice and just don't say anything to the prompts, which will get you to a person. They can cancel or renew at your request. Takes about five minutes, including wait time. They were very nice as well.

- Jane replies to Victoria Magazine readerthank you SO MUCH! I was able to cancel my subscription using the information you posted.
- VictoriaI saw a $1 pre-authorization charge on my bank account with a phone number attached. I called and found out they were going to ping me for a renewal of Cooking Light, which I had caved to said yes to a year ago at a store. They were kindly over the phone and I was able to get it canceled- the next few days will let me know if this came through or not.
A god way to avoid this is to just never take a magazine subscription offer from stores unless you want to continue the service a year later for an unknown amount of money.- Caller: TWA Magazines
- ChrisCalled 800-586-7043. Very easy voice prompted system to cancel. They offer to extend each magazine for 6 months-1 year for $2.00 or cancel with refund and no additional money due. Took 5 minutes.
