- RDCaller ID said Eversource which is actually my electricity supplier. They left a message claiming they were going to shut off my power that day because of an over due balance. I checked on line and my account was up to date. I called the number they left (1-800-207-1928) and they tried to get me to pay a fake $320. balance before the power was shut off in the next hour.. They said that the bill dispute was under a company investigation and said they would credit me back the money once it was cleared up in 48 hours. The creepy part was that the address they had was actually a relative's in another state but thought it was mine. I told them to shut off the power at that address so they hung up, lol.
- Call type: Debt collector
- JBCID says EVERSOURCE 800 592 2000. Recording says they will turn power off in 30 min for non payment. Says to call them @ 800 718 7010. I have 2 accounts, both are paid. I called the numbers on my bills for Eversource, can't talk to a person unless there is an outage. Checked my balances on their system & I'm ok.
In that they call on the weekend it is prob easier for them to rip us off as it is impossible to get a person @ the real company on the weekend.- Caller: "EVERSOURCE"
- Call type: Scam suspicion
