This is some political crap, that says they are exempt from do not call list!! They don't give any option of being removed from their calling list!! Our nikki is in late stages of cystic fibrosis, and we have to extract mucous from her lungs every 2 hrs around the clock. We get next to nothing for sleep. And then these [***] call just as we are all trying to sleep between treatments!! We should have a legal right to decline this abuse!! Our loved one should be able to die w/o being harrassed!! America the free ---[***]!!

I little research indicates this is a (former) phone for the Adirondack Photography Institute.  A 2008 Boston Globe article about workshops listed it alongside their main article, but checking the ADKP current website shows a different 800 number today.  The article also lists David Middleton Photography, Wickcliffe OH who is also a guest instructor at ADKP.  Could be his phone or could be cloned.

I called this number back and got a recording that says "if you have received a call from this number you have just received a political call. This type of call is exempt from the do not call list. It is our intention to bring you issues of a political nature that affect the local state and national issues"...No name of course, no message...HaHa on them I blocked them.  They won't be calling me again.

The caller ID was "800 service" and so I did not pick up. No message was left.

I did not answer this "unavailable " phone number. When my message machine came on, the caller hung up. It is an annoying spam call.

First I want to extend my sympathies to you and your family.  There are no words good enough for such a time.

It IS true that political calls, charity calls and surveys are exempt.  But when I was going through cancer treatment I asked a few of these type calls to stop calling and they did once I explained why.  It is hard to fathom a legit place with so little compassion.  All I can suggest is you unplug or muffle the phone as much as possible and let your family and friends know to call back.

 Again, my special love and empathy go out to you for very personal reasons...I know CF all too well.

Sorry about your baby being sick.... I do really feel for you. I get calls from this [***] too.... What I did, and it may help you, was to enter that number in my phone's phone book and get it a No Ring selection for the ring tone. They may call but the phone does not ring!  : )   I've done this to several other numbers.....   Wishing the best for you and yours.

I understand how you feel. My wife and I were dealing with very ill parents and could not change our phone number because our parents were to ill to remember new numbers. We were getting calls fours times a day from Card Services, a credit card scam company, IMO, and a couple other telemarketers.

We bought a Panasonic 6.0 Plus phone and answering machine, KX-TG6842.
We can block up to 250 phone numbers. It works really well but you need to read the instructions to block calls. The block calls will ring once, but you can set it so there is no ring at all.
Unfortunately, the scum telemarketers use numerous spoof numbers so while it gets much better, you will continue to add numbers.
The phone companies can end this nightmare but there is some old law that congress has to change. So besides calling your phone company, you need to call your congressmen/women.

They called several times a day last week, and every few days.  Caller ID says United States.  I will not answer a call from our country, or a state in our country as a few other caller IDs have shown.  If they really want or need to talk to me, they can leave a message.  The haven't yet.

Answer the phone as Detective xxx, FRAUD DIVISION.  They hang up in a heart beat.

They have called my elderly dementia patients house 5 times today. The first time I told the idiot to stop calling here but they continue to call all day and hang up now when I answer.

They call, leave a message asking for my husband but then hang up...probably just telemarketer.....

These jerks have been calling me once a day for the past week. What is it going to take to get rid of them? I never answer the call, when my message machine comes on, they hang up. BTW, they have even called as late as 9:45pm!!!
