Weird call.  On my voice mail but the recording was as if I had called them.

NPAS is a Collection agent for HCA hospitals. They will help with insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and will work with any special hardship situations. Professional and have always seemed to be compassionate and understanding. When our Medicare and private insurance have paid over $100,000 and the calls for a few thousand additional going to collections happen i just explain our $$$ were spent on premiums, that we informed doctors/facility in advance that if they wouldn't accept coverage as full payment we did not want treatment. Also contact credit reporting and dispute everything so that it's included in credit reports.

They called me yesterday, I didn't answer...no voicemail.  They called me today, I answered and demanded I verify either my birthday, phone number or mailing address and only then would they disclose the "personal business matter" they were calling about.  I asked them to mail me the information since they had my address but they refused because how could they know I'd be the one opening it.  I told them it was a federal offence to open someone else's mail (duh).  Their only defense was that my address was public information so there was no reason to not verify it.  Again to told them to mail me the reason for the call and then I'd call back (seemed reasonable) but no they refused.  I told them I wasn't going to verify anything unless they would tell me what this call was about...their remaining only answer was still "it's a personal business matter". I told them I do not work since I'm a stay at home mom so I don't have a business...still wouldn't tell me.  The call concluded with them noting my "account with refusing to validate my information". IF they were a reputable company or really needed to talk to me about anything....they would have obliged the info by mail request.  Totally fishy call!

I had the exact same conversation with these people. I kept asking who they were and they said they couldn't talk to me without verifying my info. I explained that it sounded fishy, and I didn't just give my info to anyone calling and asking for it at random.  That seems like scam 101 to me.  We went back and forth and I finally told them if they had my info, to mail me something and I'd either write a check if it's something I owed, or I would call them to discuss whatever error had them calling me.

A follow up call, they did acknowledge they were with NPAS Solutions (National Patient Account Services) and gave me her phone number, so I could check them out, and call them back.  This person was more helpful than the previous person.  I told her the last guy that called me said they would send something to my mailing address so i could verify who they were, but she said they couldn't do that without verifying I was the correct person and then verifying my address.

Just received a phone call from this number.  They would not release any info unless I verified my date of birth and mailing address. She stated that they have spoken with me before and have my checking account information, social security number and other personal information on file. I agreed to verify my date of birth, but nothing else. If they have all the information available to them, then verification of one item should be sufficient. I don't owe anyone, so I don't know why they are calling me. She claims HIPPA laws won't allow her to disclose the nature of the call without verification of ALL information. I call BS!

I get several calls a day from this number with no voice mails. The call is from 1-800-6353532. From an internet search it looks as if it's a collection agency for a healthcare company. My cell phone number used to belong to the Lewis family. I used to get many calls for them. That may be the reason I'm getting these calls. Very irritating! We have no medical bills.
