This number calls me multiple times a day. I have not answered it because I do not answer numbers that I do not recognize. They never leave a message. When are these idiots going to get a life and stop harassing people. It is bound to be a scam of some kind.

definately a scam number, I am in UK, have no business in US and it calls me every day, again never answered as don't talk to scam merchants

I live in the UK, I said 'Hello' and the automated voice said 'Sorry, that option is not valid'. Well if saying 'Hello' isn't valid then how are we meant to have a conversation?

I STRONGLY recommend to anyone to stay away from 1&1 (although, if you're reading this, you're probably an ex-customer of theirs and already know this). They run their business more like a racket than a web services provider. I'm not surprised they carry on their telemarketing in a less than forthright manner.

P.S. Never have any problems with them.

I also have web hosting services through 1&1 and I have found them to be very reliable and cost effective.  I never answer their calls though.

8006541916 calling to MY HUSBAND cellphone about an internet site that I own. I have not idea where they got his number from, but this is getting out of control, specially because I am a web designer and THEY HAVE THE DATA of my hosting account. How did they get that data??? Unreal.

Yeah, I've been a 1&1 customer for 8 years, never had a problem that wasn't solved in a timely manner.  They really ramped up the telemarketing in the past two years.  Before that, I never heard from them.  I generally don't answer 800-number calls anyway.

Its nightmare telemarketing from 1 and 1 internet provider.   They do not stop no matter what you tell them.

I have been with 1&1 for years! And my experience has been a positive one.

I don't know if there calling a number that belonged to a previous customer
or a wrong number, however that does not make them a scam.

It so easy now to make a judgement and post it on the web for all the world
to see, a good thing when warranted and a bad thing otherwise.

You mention the word racket, (rackets) tend to have a very short life span
without mailing addresses and phone numbers, much less 800 support.

I've tried several companies and have been with them the longest - much
better than the dadgy co that charges for everything - and I speak from
experience.

You are absolutely correct Greg!  I canceled my service (and was paid up to date)  6 months letter, I received a collection notice from them without warning.   Since it was over 6 months (which I did not keep the confirmation record), and a low number I paid it (again) - stay far, far away.

You are spot on. Just managed to cancel the last contract with them two days ago and was finally able to tell them to f*** off. Incidentally, their funny number has been calling every day for the last, hmm... three months or so. Always around the same time, too. At least they show the number.
