Gto a call today and message was a law firm for the illinois Department of Revenue.

This is a debt collect, they say that are a law firm and that they are collecting a debt for the Illinois Dept of Revenue.

Don't call them back.  The state knows how to contact you if they really need to without the help of some  shady collection company.  

I they call again tell them that you are recording the call and that you are requesting thatt that cease and desist contacting you at work and home.

If they continue, you will exercise your rights with the FDCPA (Fair Debt and Collection Practice Act)

This is a legitimate collection attorney for the State of Illinois, Department of Revenue. Jackson Hewitt screwed up my taxes and Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson were hired to collect the $43 that Jackson Hewitt never told me about owing to the state. Because of the screw up, Jackson Hewitt paid the penalty of $79. My advice to you is to find out what's going on and get that off your credit report.
