This number has called my cell phone many times.  I should sue them somewhere.  Does anyone have any ideas to deal with them?

A woman calls my home answering machine and is rude in tone stating, "you never bother to call me back and i don't want to bother you at work. It's imperative that you call be today before 4 p.m."  She never identifies her company or name any of the three times she calls. She appears to start the message for us before the answering machine even completes the greeting. I find this most unprofessional and suspicious.

I've received multiple calls from this number saying that it's important for me to call them back.  They know my name and everything.

Please advise.

This guys are calling me since March-2007 from different phones. They always ask for some person and when i said wrong number they replied to me the person gave to them my number. Yes, they have my cell number and name also.

They don't even lisen and just they hang up. They called me everyday more than 5 times, [***].

They made me today to disconnect my personal phone. I'm not able to handle these guys any more. If someone knows how to punish these morons please update this forum.

The guy on the machine just called and said to call him back but doesn't say the name of the company.

I receive multiple calls from this number while I am at work. They start their message before the greeting on my voicemail is finished so their message is always cut off. They never say who they are or who they are calling for, I thought maybe that was being cutoff. Today I was home from work so was able to answer and it is a recorded message saying to call, I have left several messages etc. I called the number back and explained they keep calling my house who are they trying to reach. No explanation or anyone asking me for my phone number I was just transferred to "processing" and put on hold for a few minutes. I just hung up. I see someone else said it is a credit collection company. I don't have any credit issues so it definitely concerns me. If you can't talk to them how are you supposed to make the calls stop?

They have been calling for months and it is just a recording of a woman named Sandy saying I should call her by 3pm.  I finally called the number and before I could say 2 words was transferred to a very rude man name Reggie Miller.  He said he was looking for a woman named Victoria Park, who we are not and do not know.  When I would not verify the phone # I was calling from, he hung up on me.  I then called back and was transfered again, I was told that my number was deleted from the data base, we will see.  Plus they already knew what # I was calling from, I never had to give it.

Same here, the message is always cut off and they don't leave a name or where they're falling form. I called back and was immediately transferred and the phone rang out.

I have ignored this number for some time now. They never left a message. I finally picked up today and got the rude message from Sandy.

They never leave a complete message and always calls the house during business hours when we are at work, just hoping nobody answers.  Maybe they get paid by the dial.  Remember folks, these are collection agents, they cannot get REAL jobs!

this organization calls for our grown son who has not lived with us for 4 years.

I got a call and it's a company called OCS.  They threaten to block your credit and tell you to contact a lawyer.

one lady call every day 2 0 5 times a day IS HORRIBLE.. please these are collection agents.. stop dont call me anymore

Do any of these people getting calls from these stupid idiots have or had an account with Macy's? I think they hacked into Macy's files and are calling people trying to get their info.

after months of calling us they finally left a message yesterday, when I called back to explain they had the wrong number, they tried to get me to give them my husband's SS# saying we had an outstanding Macy's balance after I told him I would not give out that information and that we never had a Macy's account he screamed that we would have to figure it out on our own and hung up...from my experience with real debt collectors they don't hang up until they get a payment from you.  if they call again I am going to file a formal complaint

Anita is the worst! She has hung up on me many times, when I was only asking for a letter to confirm that I owed Macy's money from 5-6 years ago. I just kept saying that I was willing to settle the debt if they could prove I owed them money, and they just hung on me several times. I kept calling back and asking for proof until Jeff finally said he would send a letter. I then called back again to verify that they would send proof, he had the girl that answers the main line tell me not to call their office anymore.

Give them a taste of their own medicine! Call them everyday, ask them random questions.. Some of my favorites are - "How's the familly?" "do you like grapes?" Say "what?" over and over and over no matter what they say, "have you ever been to Sri Lanka?". My all time favorite is "I can't here you, could you speak up?" Just keeping asking until they start screaming then say hold on a second and put the phone down until they hang up.. soooooooo funnnnnn!!

This group (I don't know who, actually; I didn't ask because it didn't matter to me) is following up on past-due accounts based on your phone number (which is why the "do not call" list isn't effective). In my case, this person hasn't had my phone number in over 5 years, and the company was more than happy to remove my number from their call-list.  Just [pleasantly] ask them. Call the 800 number back and it takes about one minute to make it all stop.
Note, if you're actually the deadbeat they're looking for, this won't help you very much!
