Called 4 times today.  when I call back I get the Public Interest Message 411.  Most annoying. Haven't and won't answer the call and they do not leave a message.

they call everyday at different times of the day, once i got a call at 11pm!!! they never leave a msg, and i never call them back.

I'll never donate to any group that uses this service. They are completely rude and call numerous times, way too late. I've asked them to put me on their no-call lists and still the calls keep coming.

This number has called me every day for the past 10 days...no message is ever left, but they keep calling. I heard from someone that it was Environment Illinois. I donated money to them awhile back and now they won't stop harassing me....figures!

I have been getting a call from this number every day.  Sometimes more than once a day and usually after 8 pm.  This needs to stop!

been getting calls from this number for a few months.  I only use my cel # for emergencies so only give it out to family but getting calls from this number anyway.  never leaves a message and sometimes calls twice a day also.  

gotta be some federal law to prevent these [***] from calling.  I will never answer (I pay by the minute) so there must be some way to get these guys to stop calling.  very irritating.

These scumbags call at every frigging hour of the day and night. Never leave a message. Can't the FCC clamp these SOB's for harrassment?

this number calls me every day at least three time a day.  I never answer because it's so frequent and they never leave a message.  i didn't donate or have any contact with an environment org or anything.... maybe i'll answer and ask them to stop calling.

The group calling from this number is called Public Interest Research. They are hired by Environment California and other similar PIRGs. They call 3 times a day at all times. They've been calling for over a year despite being on the national do not call list and requesting that my number be removed.

I called the number back... it gave me an option to remove my number by leaving a message with my phone number.  We will see if it works!  At least it seems easy enough.

They've been calling me most every day for about 3 weeks. As most people, I don't answer numbers I don't recognize, especially 800 numbers that call after 9pm. Having read a few of these forums, I'm positive it's Environmental Colorado (or Environment [insertstatenameofchoicehere]), as I have donated to them in the past. Leave a freaking message!

I just put them in my phone as "Don't Answer" - still super annoying, though.

I'm getting 2-3 phone calls a day from this number. They never leave a message. When I see it on the caller ID - I turn it off. If you can't leave me a message it must  not be that important of a phone call. Please get it to stop.

They've been calling for a month now. No message ever. They must be moving East.

They are an NGO that does environmental stuff in California. I don't know how they got my number and the option to opt out doesn't work, I've done 5x and they keep calling

This is a grass roots organization that you took interest in. They get their numbers the honest and hard working way. You at some point took interest in one of the organizations they call for, most likely spoke to one of their canvassers. It is possible they have the wrong number, and it is true that if you don't answer your phone they don't leave messages and they call back at a later date. The reason for that is they have a lot of people to contact that support their work. It is a great cause and sometimes to get good things done you have to do things that not everyone is comfortable with. If you are someone who is not comfortable with being called there is an easy fix, just answer your phone and say please take me off your list. I would bet though, if you took the time to have the conversation with the people calling you, you would like the work they are doing. However even if you don't, it's just a phone call, it's not the end of the world.

It's great how you try to help out a bit by indulging the poor sap who's stuck out on the street in the middle of the summer soliciting money from random passersby, only to be relentlessly harassed with phone calls thereafter.  I have learned my lesson...I will never so much as glance at these "canvassers" ever again.  To hell with your cause.
