These people are calling my number everyday at different times for the last 5 or 6 days asking me for somebody else who happens to have my last name. Asked them to stop, but they don't... Never identified themselves.  Asked them once,"are you trying to collect some money?, send the bill..." no answer.

This is a collection agency called Bay Area Collection Agency or Credit Services. The people that work here are unprofessional and never have their information correct. The guy I talked to hung up on me after contacting my parents to get a hold of me. I got the bill resolved it wasnt' even my fault and now I am going to corporate to get this guy his behavior was unacceptable.

can't understand the people with heavy accents. regards to an amount. can't tell me who they are looking for. i own no one anything. very annoying.

They've called here - a BUSINESS - for the last few days, asking for someone who doesn't work here -- demanding that this IS a residence... in a city HUNDREDS of miles away.  Not even the correct area code!  I've repeatedly told them this, and then they start asking more questions such as "who I am," etc.  They all have heavy [Middle Eastern?] accents.

They have called and talk in such an accent when you call the number back, so that you cant understand the name of their business. When you do ask , they come back at you asking you - who you are.  When you tell them NO they have the wrong person, They keep asking are you sure this isnt you.  LIKE WE DONT KNOW OUR DAMN NAMES! Atleast we speak English.

the people, whom you cannot understand, do not understand. i have filed complaints with several agencies, and will talk to my state attorney general. i do not know whom they seek, but it is not me. i told them three times to stop, but nothing yet.

We have been receiving calls from this 800 number for months.  Have tried many ways to get them to stop....with caller ID not answering, and they leave a message.  Had 25 messages on recorder after being away for 11 days.  Have answered and told them I have never heard of the person they are trying to contact, and we have had this number for 27 years.  It is very hard to understand the callers with their heavy accents.

They must be a covert phone company op. to increase call blocking option sales.

These people are calling my cell phone, don't know how they got it, trying to collect from my Dad who is dead. Asked them what it was about, they said it was a personal matter. I told them they would have to dig him up to talk to him. Then they had the nerve to ask me to send them a copy of the death certificate.

We've been getting these calls multiple times per day for weeks. They obviously originate in India. They ask for someone I have never heard of.  We tell them the person doesn't live here but they keep calling back.  Tonight they said the calls will stop if I tell them my name.  I think I have already done that but in any case it's none of their FN business.  They should be able to tell that the number is not registered to the person they are looking for.  Apparently the do-not-call list does not take care of situations like this.

a woman called this morning asking about an ambulance ride i took in 2003 she argued with me about the ride i actually was in jail on that day and wasnt out to take the ride so i asked her if i could speak to an american she got mad and hung up.. i called bthe number back and got a man with the same accent he knew my name.. they must have caller id he said he was a collection agency in the bay area.. i asked him why he was calling people at 5 am their time.. no one calls people at 5 am to collect a debt he hung up. so i called back got the same guy asked for his address but he wouldnt give to me he wanted my information.. i asked how come i couldnt speak with an american. i got no answer.. he wanted a 1000 dollars for the ambulance ride i never took so i asked for a supervisor he hung up. i called back again same man answered and told him to never call my house again.. this is a scam whatever you do dont mess with these people they are indian people probably not in the states.. i wish there was a way to get these mfs.

these people call my number constantly, and often at very early hours (like 7 am) or very late hours (like 10 pm)...
when i returned a call, the person on the other end said he was calling about "a personal business matter" but could not give any other info without asking me a bunch of personal questions...
told him to stop...
looked up this number on line and found out it was a debt collection service, no doubt violating multiple provisions of the fair debt collection practices act

This is an obvious scam. Call your local attorney general office to report.

We have been getting calls from this number for a couple of weeks, we always let the machine pick up, they never leave a message.  I've gotten so sick of them calling that I decided to pick up, they asked for someone with the same last name, but a first name that I don't know anybody by.  I told the guy that they had the wrong number and to please take our number off of their list, he then asked me to verify the phone number, i told him the one he called was correct but there was nobody here by the name he asked for.  Then he started stating an address and I cut him off and told him that I WILL NOT verify any information and that if they don't take our number off of their list that I will seek legal action.   That was 3 nights ago, needless to say...the number was on caller ID yesterday and today.  I called back and told the guy that answered to take our number off of their list that there is nobody named Justin that lives here.  He said we won't get anymore calls....we shall see.

Their is some guy with a Indian accent that keeps on calling me everday 2xs a day around 10:00A.M. and 6:00P.M..I keep saying stop calling me but they still do.I asked him for his name and he said STEVE.......He asked me to owe him money for a BAY AREA CREDIT UNION.Sometimes when he calls it's a voice recording asking me to call back.They are asking for some dude that I never heard of.The're freakin' CRAZY.....They keep waking my child and me up and I have work and she has school plus she is only 10.Plus they keep on telling us on the RECORDING to call 800-454-2227 but the # states 800-697-1234

These idiots call me everyday on my cell phone and never leave a voicemail. Sometimes more than once. I looked online to find out who these people were and after I read what has been said here I decided to never answer. Just out of curiosity I ordered a credit report just to see if I had anything on file, which I already suspected was false even though I was in a car accident two weeks ago and had an ambulance ride. I have no collections or anything else on file. I have great credit and these people have no reason to contact me.

Again, I never answer the phone when they call so I don't know if they are really trying to reach me. But if they are they are unprofessional and have false information. If these people call don't give them your name, address, and not even ONE number of your social security.

And this might be unrelated, but before I kept receiving calls from this number I was getting a lot of strange 1-700 numbers on my caller ID, which I suspect is probably a scam overseas.

Just got a call from this number.  Referred me to call another number: (800) 454-2227.  Almost called them back until I found this website.  Definitely sounds like Identity Theft.

These people have been calling my sons ( a child) cell phone (Trac Phone) since we had the service turned on in August. They call at least 3 times a day ( if not more). It's gotten so bad with these people ( and MANY other numbers)that I have him keep the phone off unless he needs call home.

This is to advise that I do not know this lady, and that she probably had the cell phone number before I did.  I am asking that you remove this phone number from your database, and cease harassing me all times of the day for this lady.

This will be filed this w/my cell phone carrier and in the future w/the police department in the city in which I live if the calls continue.
