very rude debt collecting call for someone else,when I called them back and asked them to take my number off their list that they had the wrong number they hung up on Me ,when I called back a Guy took the call and after I told Him He had the wrong number and to take my name off the list He appolgized and I accepted, He then asked Me to do the same for being vulgar and swearing to the Lady I called the first time when I told Him I never said anything like that He said He was listening I asked Him to play the tape back He could not I told Him He must have been on another call with someone else that It was not Me He kept getting nasty I told Him I was calling the Attorney Generals Office He told Me to have fun and hung up.

I agree with you, they are very Rude, Both times that I have called and my husband they have been very rude to us and hung up on us as well.  I informed them that this is not supposed to be going on and it is a mix up but they refuse to listen and are just extremely rude and sound uneducated their attitudes and language.

They Called Me looking For A Relative I Asked The Guy what Is This About he Said he Could Not Tell Me So I Told I I Could Not Give The message To The person He Is Trying To Reach, When I Told him To Take My Number Off he Said My relative Would Have To call Them Well I Blocked Their Number. And If They Call Me Again I will File A Report For Harrassment. Now eat That.

They called me and we have asked them over a dozen times to take me off the list.

When I called today a lady hung up on me.

I called back to ask to speak with a manager they hung up on me again. Then they had the nerve to call me back and tell me not to call and laughed.

I called about 5 or 6 times trying to get a hold of manager. Each time I called the lady either randomly dialed numbers, hung up, or yelled into the phone.

Finally I got a hold of a guy who put me on hold for about 10 minutes. I asked for the other representatives information and thats when he told me, screaming into the phone that I was a liar, he wouldn't give me any information to make a report and kept laughing.

This company is so unprofessional. I feel sorry for however hired them because it's truly an embarassment.

I work for a debt settlement company and i have a list of things that the creditors can and cannot do legally. LEGALY they can't tell friends or family members they are calling about a debt of some kind and are technically not allowed to call the friends or family members when they already know how to get a hold of that particular person they are trying to reach. But many of the other things they are doing IS ILLEGAL! They CANNOT use profane language, CANNOT harass, oppress, insult OR verbally abuse the consumer. All of thoes actions are in VIOLATION of the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT! If this EVER happens to anyone else who sees this, especially if they are trying to get a hold of you for debt collection on your OWN account, follow these following instructions.

1) Record the conversation or keep voice messages so that you have proof of their behavior.
2) Call UCAN #877-462-8226 and let them know what's going on. (keep # of that attorney's office)
3) If they call back and act the same way in a voice mail or the conversation (making sure its being recorded) call UCAN back and they will refer you to an attorney. If you DO owe a debt on an account that they hold, you can possibly get the entire thing waived.

I'm giving this information because I deal with creditors and collectors all day for my clients and most of them can be rude, but almost ALL follow the law. It angers and frustrates me to hear about a LAW OFFICE doing these illeagal acts knowing that it's illegal. If ANYONE needs more advice on this paticular matter, please feel free to call me. These people called me and harrassed me threatend to sue me so I settled up In june with them give them my account info and told them to lose my number.....Today January 12 i get a phone call sayin that my check was returned for insufficient funds and again threaten to sue me in court after I told them In June to take the money..now I dont have it and dont know what to do any advice greatly appreciated

I received a call from this office and the person who called said he was a general attorney from this office. His words were I am going to make a decision with or without your consent. When I called I asked for General Attorney and whatever name the person gave the person on the line ask for ss# but never connected me to him they are unprofessional and you can't understand a word because they mumble. Very UNPROFESSIONAL ....................................

Received calls back in March 2011 and again on 8/12/11 from law office of John C. Bonewicz 800-700-2016 ext. 7173 "Ms. Chiquita Gurnley" this time. Every few months they dust off their old phone scam lists and inflict them on a new hire, in the hope that scared, vulnerable people will hand over their money to these crooks. Ms. Chiquita Banana can pound salt until the end of time, I will not call these crooks back.

UPDATE: Just got off phone with citi-bank and seems "Square Two Financial" is where my acct has landed,,,,, possibly these moronic folks at John C. Bonewicz are just posers getting their hands on info floating around the channels

We finally paid them what was owed and they promised a "payment in full letter" within 30 days....they lied!!!  They are rude and insulting.  When we spoke with a supervisor, they were also rude and insulting.  I can't get in touch with them now to get that payment letter.  They want their money, but are unwilling to give you what you want.  I hope the attorney general gets enough complaints to change their practices.

I received a phone call from this very firm, in regards to part of my student loan that has gone to collection. Today they told me I have 48 hours to make arrangements to send them 50 dollars a month or they will take legal action against my name and social. I explained that I barely work, have hardly enough money to cover living expenses and all the guy kept saying was well can't you find somebody to borrow the money from? I know these people don't care about us, they make money off of each person they collect from like a commission so their only concern is making money; not my financial situation. They called in august too saying I would receive written correspondence in 30 days I haven't gotten a thing and when I mentioned that the guy had the nerve to say well the only time you'll get anything is when they send you information about the court costs when they take legal action...I am considering bankruptcy just so they will leave me alone. I would like some advice though, can someone please help?

Any information already available to the public, which this is can be posted anywhere in public. You might want to read your laws.  I work in law and I will work on this case till my last breath to have Mr. Boniwicz and his collection crew indicted on felony charges and prey the jury gives them jail time without parole.  They will not hide forever, I promise you this.

They have been harrassing me to collect money on a debt I owe and offered me a settelment about a month ago if I paid $1500 to them by the end of October. I of course couldnt and they keep calling but I just dont answer. I am now in a position to pay off the debt with a lump sum payment of 1500 but am scared to after reading all these posts. Are they even legit? Will my debt even be gone if I pay them are are they a scam?

Are you a lawyer? Of course he can post this scam lawyer's info. He is not inciting any violence or asking anyone to harm this lawer. He is only posting publicly a able information.

I got a call from this lawyer asking for someone whom I do not know.
I use Google Voice for my voice mail so now I added that number to my ignore list.
