These annoying calls claim that I have to pay for a loan. I do not ow anyone at all with unpaid loan. It smells like a scheme because I can not call back to talk to a "John Buckly ". If I ow something why don't they notify me by a registered letter?

They even gave me a reference number.

Do Not Pay anything to these people (NCO Financial).  They are the bottom feeders for junk debt buyers.  Check out the status of limitations for collecting a debt (it is different in every state).  Don't ever give them your banking information or credit card number.

I have a sneaky feeling the phone co. Verizon is giving out my phone no. to Capital One because they are looking for my husband (he is the one who owes the bill).  I had my no. changed last month (March) because they kept calling me.  I pay to have my no. unlisted and the only one that could be giving it to them is Verizon, the phone co.

Well here it is only a few days later and yet I receive another call from this number.  I don't know why I am surprised, but I am.  This time the call was made a little after 4:00 pm.  The call refers to an important financial matter and ask that the call be returned. This call is for no specific person.  But you know what, I am glad they called back.  I will just add this as more evidence of the harrassing phone calls from these people.  So whoever you are, looking forward to your next call.

I do know who I owe a debt to, and NCO has my number! :) (No pun intended!)
When I called to make arrangements, they were very rude, and no matter what I do, keep calling me back with the same automated message; although I told them that the number they are using is not even a phone that is registered to me! I gave them an alternate phone number, but obviously, they think that calling both numbers will get them further. If I am making arrangements, what more do they want?!!

All I ask is don't waste my time and money.

    caller blocker
NCO kept left message without identifying who they calling and never send me a written notice.

I began to subscribe caller-id service and bought a phone that has 'caller-id block' feature.  I listed the phone number in the phone, and whenever the phone receive a incoming signal from this phone number, it automatically hangs up.

If you don't like to buy a new phone, ask phone company if they has similar feature.  Most of the phone carrier has one.

    silence NCO calls....
Do not talk to these people at all. They have been calling my house several times a day over a debt from 8 years ago. By the laws in my state the debt is too old to collect on. NCO has no power and legal way to collect an outdated debt. They can not take me to court or garnish my wages...their threats are empty talk. Do not be afraid of their threats...NCO are pure scum of the earth. If you are in a similar situation...do not ever talk to them on the phone...if you do it can re-open your old debt as being new again. ( then they could take you to court ) Paying off an out-dated debt will do more harm than good. Your credit history report will not improve by paying off a old debt. Please investigate this is you do not believe me. There are many sites that discuss this. There is one thing you can do to silence the NCO calls. Buy a "Caller ID with Ring Controller" google to find it. I bought mine on ebay. This little machine will block all NCO calls ( even 000-000-0000 calls )...or any other caller you do not wish to hear. It stops your phone from ringing. From their end they still hear the phone ringing, so they do not know they are being blocked. At least you will have silence. Call all you want NCO ....I no longer hear your calls....LOL I have the last laugh

I recently relocated and obtained a new phone number. Now I keep getting calls from 1-800-709-8625 at all hours of the day and night! I do not owe or ever owed any money from any company with that name....NCO Financial Systems Inc. I called the national DO NOT CALL REGISTRY to add my number to their database but I must wait 31 days before I can formaly complain to them...make this calling stop!

Ugh! I was resting so nicely today on my day off.. then the phone starts ringing for these doofs. I let it ring through to my voice mail and they left the standard canned message regarding an owed debt. I'm pretty sure I got my ducks in a row though financially, they may have been calling for my dog... he may have went shopping for bones with his new credit card! I'll have to talk to him about that...

In total this was my 2nd time I've received a call from them, the first time was at least a month ago. My apologies to some of the folks who mention receiving literally multiple calls per day, I think the automated message would drive me crazy. Additional Information - This was my cell phone, truly unsure on how they acquired my number. (Auto-dialer or database!)

yeah, they call here day and night...  my callerID comes up as toll free... they use a couple different numbers.
I have a feeling they are [***], simply for the fact they never say WHO they are calling for. I dont pick up, just let it go to the machine. There are alot of scam artists out there. I never answer my phone unless i recognize the number.
