message left was for me. It said "---- this is Jessica calling from PDI and I need you to call us right away at 800-723-3223. This is not a solicitation, it is important that we speak with you."

They are now using local numbers. They still do this number also. It is CDI and they are a Debt collector. Have had issues with them in the past. They(in Idaho) collect for Idaho Power(and parent company) They also collect for some of the local utilities.      NOT LEGAL ADVICE!  :
If you owe someone like power or local utility contact them directly and pay what you owe, If you pay this company it will take time to settle and they do collect additional fees. If you pay the original creditor, that will be all you pay.  You can then tell the CDI Folks that the debt is paid and to quit calling. Can take up to 1 month for the "paper work" to catch up to them.  But you denied them any extra money from you.

As to the previous post, you can in the pay the utility company directly, but you still owe interest to the debt collector due to the fact unlike most other businesses whom you may owe money to can refuse to take your payment.  Utilities cannot refuse you to make a payment, or payoff the debt.

I keep getting calls from this number saying it's not a solisitor and I should return their call as soon as possible.
