She is calling from a company called PerksCard. They are a group of sales people who are contracted by major corporations such as hospitals, school districts, etc. with a large amount of emplouyees - to reach out to local business to see if you would be willing to offer a discount on your services to the employees. These companies HR departments want to create a discount incentive program for their large employee groups to get discounts in their community. They hire PerksCard to call local businesses in the surrounding area to see if they would want to participate. It is a very good opportunity. I signed up to be an exclusive pet groomer for the employees of a nearby hospital. It was GREAT for business, they all came to me ... we are talking hundreds upon thousands of people.

Just received a call asking to be a part of providing design services to the VA hospital employees here in the city.  Only 1 designer would be selected. Basically selected to pay lots of money for what sounds like a scam.  For only $995 or 2 payments of $495, I can be the only designer listed with Perks Cards.  Each employee will get an ID with advertising, a perkscard savings packet, a newsletter featuring your business to all these 800 employees, etc.  Even my family can benefit from the perks card.  www.perkscard.com

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Alumni Association  , amongst thousands of other corporations across the US distribute a Perks program for their Alumni. The program is based upon helping the alumni save money on a variety of services. Services that range from restaurants, health & wellness, family fun, retail stores, home services and professionals. The poster received an email  from Perks, the company that designs each of the programs. The programs vary as far as the types of business offering discounts, the method of distribution and the actual product. There are multiple forms of marketing materials that range from newsletters, email updates, website listings, logo placements, and mobile app listings.

To verify that you did receive a call from a viable Perks employee, simply ask to speak with the contact of the organization in question. With who can verify that they are in fact offering the program and the call you received was warranted.
