- KrumeThey keep calling, at the most annoying hours, with prerecorded messages asking to call them back. I tried to call back but my phone says, "We're sorry but due to technical difficulties we can't route your call" Who are are this people.
- Jamie| 1 replyI get calls from these people at LEAST 5 times a week, sometimes 5 times in one day. Most of the time it is some annoying recorded message. I have been ignoring them for months. The one time they called that I bothered to answer, I told them 1- I do not transact business over the phone; 2 - I never answer calls from "unknown" numbers 3- if they have any dealings with me, it is to be done in writing or they are wasting their time. They still call, but I have never received a letter. I am certain that it is because the debt is no longer collectable (i.e. over 2 years old), so they are trying to get me to acknowledge the debt over the phone to "re-start" it. Nice try guys, not going to happen. Either send me proof in writing of the debt or you are not going to get a a cent.

- MM| 1 replyThis is actually the call-back number given when I answer the phone; I am told I must call back by 10:05 the next morning. It is a recorded message. They call frequently, usually in the evening. When I call back, it goes right to voicemail, repeatedly. One day I got so annoyed I just kept calling. Eventually I got through to someone. He refused to identify himself or his company, he said they deal with "personal matters". He said he'd stop calling me if I'd tell him who I was, but I refused to provide information to someone who wouldn't identify himself.
My advice: clearly a fraudulent call, ignore it or call the police it it reaches the point of harassment. DO NOT EVER provide them with personal information.- Caller: Refused to identify
- Ural Faqeed| 1 replyThey called and left a message to call back. Gave them a call and the woman said it was a business matter. I gave them false info and they refused to talk to me. I guessed that if they were scammers they would have just started with the scam. They kept calling and calling so I finally called them back and gave the right information. Turns out it was for my goddamn student loans! I was pissed that it went to a collection agency, but I was able to get a small settlement out of them and pay it off right away. It was really easy and it they never [***] my credit. They are [***] if you don't confirm your ID, but once I did, I am glad I did it! They saved my credit score and saved me a couple of hundred dollars!

- Jack Meov| 1 replyJust got a call from this number on Nov 20 2014, so i answered it. They've been calling incessantly the past few weeks. It's some collection agency or the other.
She says "is Steve there", i said "he's dead", she says "do you have proof of that ? ", i said " do you have proof he isn't ? Then she said "you can't answer a question with a question", i responded " why not ?"
Then she got pissed off and said "this is going nowhere, have a good day Mr. Rogers", and she hung up.
My name of course is NOT Steve Rogers.
Next time the [***] calls i'm gonna ask her what colour her panties are and if she enjoys anal sober, or is she always wasted when she participates.- Call type: Debt collector
