Call Multiple times within a 15 minute time span. Annoying!

(800) 745-2345 this number use to haunt me.... THose guys are NASTY! REAL NASTY!
I use to get calls from them (They Collect on Federal Student Loans)
"This is an attempt to collect a debt" Blah blah blah
They threatened to garnishment my wages
They Told me that I needed to make a HUGE down payment... (800 BUCKS! WTF)

OH YEAH I DID MY RESEARCH ALRIGHT!

I fixed my credit, stopped the garnishment process, got my collection fees waived,
and went back to school :)))))
I LOVE THE INTERNET...
I bought some book called "The Student Loan Blue print"

Guess what my minimum monthly payments ended up being??? 55 bucks pshhhhhhhh
They told me i had to pay 200 bucks a month... LIARS!!

Called me, answered.  Says...  "All reps are busy, please wait for next available rep."  WTF?, you called me, BYE!

Guy called Dan called us and left a message to return call. This company has been harassing us for a debt, that belongs to my husbands deadbeat dad has, for the last 8 years. We always tell them we have no contact with him and have not for over 25 years. We have repeatedly told them to cease and desist, stop calling, take our number out of their systems, stop, stop, stop. They never do. It gets quiet for a few months then BAM!!! It all starts again. They always start with "I need to verify your SS#". WTF!!! I would never ever give that out to anyone. Now they are threatening court. LOL Keep Dreaming. I would love to see that happen. The Judge would have a field day with them. Suddenly it is ok to sue a person for a debt that a different person made in 1976. Before we even were born. So pathetic that this company can keep doing this.

In this day and age of rip off artists and identity theft it is amazing how ongoing scams are still taking unsuspecting citizens for a fool with all of the publicity advertised on the internet, TV, billboards, magazines and newspapers on the topic. This company has contacted me at work, at home, on my cell and all that is left is for them to visit my home. Wishful thinking so I can let them have it face to face and tell them where they can all go if they try, but I've opted to simply ignore the calls from a so called Mr. Humphrey and voice mails left on my cell that I simply decided to delete. It is an attempt to collect a debt requesting to confirm the last four of your SSN, but short of being legit, not very friendly to say the least with their annoying persistance. Not interested and have a nice day...click is what I've had to revert to, but they can take a hike or a very long walk off a short pier.

These dirtbags just called us:

1) Over student-loan debts that do not exist, when ALL of our college loans were paid in full nearly two decades ago, and

2) More than two weeks AFTER they received a I letter I sent to them Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested, telling them in no uncertain terms that the debt is not mine, and that they are to CEASE and DESIST these calls IMMEDIATELY. I have the Return Receipt, which was SIGNED and DATED Feb. 22 by a company representative.

My wife and I would like to thank Progressive Financial Services Inc. of Tempe, AZ, in advance for the thousands of dollars we're going to win from them once we've hired an attorney to file a lawsuit for relief from this debt harassment. Further, we're sure Progressive Financial Services Inc. CEO Louis P. Valerio will be just thrilled to know we'll also be contacting our representative and senators in Congress TOMORROW to ask them why the federal Department of "Education" hires private companies to harass innocent citizens over non-existent debts.

You just stepped on the wrong set of toes, scumbags.

i signed up with Ecredit attorney.com about a month ago to help clean my credit and i have now begun receiving threatening calls from progressive financial regarding an educational loan ? they said that if i dont pay them they will garnish my wages? what do i do? should i be alarmed? i want to hire an attorney to help with this but i dont even know where to begin someone please help? i dont want my wages garnished?

If these people are calling your cell with an autodialer, and you did NOT use your cell as a contact number for the original loan, you can sue them for a LOT of money.

You don't have a lot of rights in relation to debt collectors, but you do have rights. Among them is not to be called at all, if you notify them in writing that "all calls to all phone numbers are inconvenient." That wording is due to the wording of the FDCPA, that calls that are "inconvenient" cannot be made.

A telephone recording device is your friend, if you are being harassed.

I got a call from 8007452345 and wouldn't say who they were kept asking me to identify myself I hung up . who was it

I got a call at 8:30 this morning asking for my daughter.  I told them that I have given her number to them many times and to not call me any more!  Again, they promised not to call me as they have in the past.  My daughter has a respite from this obligation because she  has a chronic illness and has not worked for several years.  Yet, they continue  to call me.  I am now going to the powers that be to stop this because I am suffering from chronic pain and was up all night last night - finally getting to sleep and then being awakened by this people.  I have had it!

They have been calling me for long time. I did pay all my student loans long ago. also I have receive mail from the [***]. I am about to file a law suit against the for EXTORTION, because that is what it is.

The message was for a name I do not recognize; no idea why our number was called.

These [***] suckers would call like 4-5 times a day. They were trying to reach someone I had never heard of. I called the number they told me to "remove yourself from the call list". I immediately told them to quit [***] calling my number and she responded by saying please no profanity....so I told her [***] yourself and hung up.

this is a week later, and I want to know if they stopped calling you because I am about to go out of my mind with their constant calling.  I have no debts, paid off my student loan years ago, and am now on SS.  Where can we report these guys?

I want to know where to report these cretins.  I've been getting called by them at least twice a day for the last two months, and they hang up before I can take it any further.

It's been 3+ years since this post. I suspect he has since found out that his Representatives don't give a flack about his rights, especially those in AZ. They obviously have no care about your rights of privacy and the fact that YOU pay the phone bill, which should give you exclusive privacy rights over anyone's freedom of speech.
And he most likely got diddly squat but a bill from his attorney for doing diddly squat, or else he would have come back to toot his horn.

I've never had a student loan, so I don't know why they are calling. I don't wait on hold for people who call me.

First of all record the dates and times of their calls and report them to the FCC ( Federal Communications Commission)..........and secondly get in touch with your states Attorney General.   I have dealt with both and have gotten prompt results.  They can be fined by the FCC for calling when told to stop or by harassing you.

Report them to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and also contact the Attorney General of your state and file a complaint..........That will stop it
