We just confirmed that this number is indeed from the GE Money Bank Fraud Department.

I received a call from this number today. They identified themselves in the message as being from GE Credit, Fraud Services regarding a GAP VISA account for the name of someone I have never heard of.  The message also included the last four digits of the account they were calling about.

I called them back, and went through the prompts, and got to a menu that said if this is Jen Doe, press 1, if it is not, then press 2.  I pressed 2 and reached an operator. I explained that the number they had associated to that name and account was incorrect. He asked how long I'd had my number (which, if it was a brand new number might explain the error), and when he heard how long I'd had my present phone number (15 years), apologized for bothering me and said they'd remove my phone number from the account.  They were very nice, about it.

This is legit -- got a call not 15 minutes after placing an order with an online Canadian pharmacy to confirm the transaction, and one other I had made the day before.

I assume it's legitimate since I purchased a premium account on a website with my credit card and received a phone call from them only a few minutes later. Too bad they didn't bother to answer.

This is a telepest who calls us daily stating we need to lower our interest rate on our credit card by getting one of theirs.

This really is Gap Visa fraud department. I thought it was spam because of the comments online, so I called the number on the back of my card and they confirmed it was them calling to confirm charges and there was a hold on my card until I called back.

i received a cal abut 3 fraudulent use attempts on my card. Whoever called told me a partial location of ONE which I verified as fraudulent. Then I was connected to a "customer rep" who asked for the last 4 digits of am SS#. The rep would not prove any information to verify that they were indeed the Gap card company. Her big suggestion was to call her back on the number that had called me!  A reputable firm would/should have a procedure for reps to follow that would allow them to verify that the caller is a legitimate rep of a credit card company.

I got a call from this number about my GAP Visa.  I called the number on the back of my card and it was a legitimate call.  It looks like someone is using my card number to rack up charges in the southwest yesterday and today...

gap visa.  didn't leave a message but i returned the call.  automatic prompts requested that i verify last four digits of the card, phone number, zipcode - then i confirmed the last 4 transactions i made with the card.  at the end - all transactions were legit & it told me to continue to use the card.

It is legit. I had fraud on my account thats how i got the call. Call the number on the back of your credit card  if you receive the call from this number.

I called the number, and verified my purchase. But when I handed up the phone, I was afraid it might be fishing. I called the number on my credit card, the guy told me the number was from their fraud department.
