This is a collection agency for Community Health Systems.  They own hospitals in numerous states.  If you have received a call from this company you probably owe a hospital bill

1-800-755-5152. Call multiple times a day and I get nothing but dead air when I pick up the phone. I even pick it up after 2 rings and again dead air. They never leave a message even on the calls when I might not be home. I do not know who they are other than annoying.

When they didn't respond to my first and only hello, I told them not to call this number anymore.  Yes, I owe a hospital about $250.00 and am paying monthly payments on time.

I am on DNC lists and will write to the Tenn Attorney General's office today and the FTC. If you ask them how stupid they are - they hang up. Google them and they are collecting medical bills as Professional Account Services. If you call them back they put you on hold and never return to the line. RUDE PEOPLE! They keep calling from 800-755-5152 when I tell them that I never heard of the person they are asking to talk with. I have told them at least 8 times and they keep calling. They are a collections company from Tennessee called Professional Account Services. I have just reported them to my state's attorney general for harrassment.

THey will call back and continue to call until you call back and talk to them. They are persistent, and called because I skipped a payment for just one month! They are going to get their money, and I have paid on time every month for an entire year! I'm telling you this cause they will keep calling and calling until you the person they want to talk to calls them back.

Call me stupid, but they call cell phones only assuming it's the right person, cell numbers change faster than home numbers...I know who they are calling for but I am not going to answer it for a dead person that used to have this number,,,they are just idiots..Why don't they mail something to this dead person so I can mail it back marked deceased......

They are not pulling numbers from a hat here guys, someone somewhere has given out ur number, if it's the wrong num simply answer and say it's the wrong number, if that is done and calls still continue it's because someone has given ur number out more than once, u are all quick to anger, but use ur brains, no service is free in this country and never will be, if u would pay ur bills in a timely manner there would be no need for collection attempts. Another thing, most likely if it's dead air on ur end of the line it is on their end as well, they don't like d air calls either, bc let's rem. They are a collection agency, so they need to collect money! A dead air call is a waste of time!...and yes blah blah blah u pay ur bills, if u miss a truck or car payment those companies call, so why wouldn't medical bills. Sheesh, u all think u sound so smart, do ur homework, u can report of harassment to any sort of attorney general office u want in all 50 states if u want, the calls are recorded and nothing will come of it, most ppl don't know the regulations that they think they know. And statements are always mailed out, check ur mail, even mail that may look like junk, use ur brains here, assuming u have them...u all jump to conclusions about debt collection agencies but in this day and time they are necessary. Yes they will get their money in some way, if u don't wanna pay or miss ur monthly pmts legal action will be take place. Take care yall!

Yeah but when they continually call for someone you do not know, you continually tell them and the rude calls persist - it is harassment!!!

Idiots such as Jaime and Layton obviously either have never experienced misdirected collection calls or most like work in the Collection "Profession" (I use the term "Profession" loosely).

With such "bottom-scraper" collection agencies, no matter how many times you tell them that they have the wrong number or that you don't know the person, they continue to call, since they assume everyone is a liar.

The only thing to do is to file complaints and preferably a lawsuit against them. This depends on your particular state laws. In most cases, you can recover all legal costs, as well as punitive damages.

Even if a person owes money for Medical Bills, harrassing them constantly isn't going to help. Having been in that position in the past, I can assure you that those who were courteous and reasonable were the only ones who got paid.

Rude, overly agressive collectors got exactly what they deversed....NOTHING!

Legally if they make a call they are required to substantially identify themselves, at least their own names.  I would imagine this means they must leave a message if they dial your number.  This might leave them open to liability under the harrassment provisions of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act if they are calling you several times a day.  Check this out with an attorney.  It could be worth up to $1,000 against the collection company plus any of your legal expenses if you can take this to court.

Next time they call and ask for someone, simply say "Oh yes, let me get them" then set the phone down (dont hang up) and go back to sleep.

AGREED! They've recently stooped as low as to call my work which I don't know how they got that number... maybe from papers filled out while I was in the hospital. Having personal calls at work is a BIG no-no at my job. I'm sorry I can't get to my cell phone! I am working!!!! Trying to save up some money to pay my bills! They could easily get me fired if their calls continue on my work line. I'll pay you when I can pay you- but putting food in my families mouth and making sure we have a roof over our head comes first. I know it's not the actual bill collectors fault because that is their job, but I believe at some point it becomes harrasment.
