Credit agency name- Getting harassing calls about a family member

I am writing in regard to my 94 years old father, who is bed ridden. My dad has one cell phone in case of emergency, and all he gets is a call from  1-800-763-3328 an answering service to call back. What I found out that this number is from Montreal and from a collection agency.
Does he really need to call these Son of a [***].....

Work phone rings every day from this number.  Recorded message saying "you need to call about an unresolved business matter by 10:05am tomorrow morning".  Voice of a woman.  Last month it was the voice of a man.  It's got to be a scam.

come on everyone if ur getting a call from  this number its because u skipped out on a bill, credit card bill or something to that effect and they sold the rights to obtain the money owed to them by from u to this company calling you.

pay ur bills and these people wouldnt be calling you,

called said they were 5/3 bank and wanted me to verify my bank account number. I told them I don't give that info out over the phone for my free credit report! 1 (877) 763 3394

I pay my bills and still get these calls. Sometimes they just have the wrong number.

Why don't you call those weirdoes two or three times after they bother you. Imagine how much distraction you will cause them. Do not say anything, just wait until they hang up. They make between 50 to 150 calls a day and a backfire will be enormous. Have fun. I'm already doing that.

As soon as I got my new cell phone in fall 2013, these collection agents have been harassing me almost every day. I have called them more than 6 x's to have them remove my number from their list.... no luck so far, Feb-2015

Got a bunch of calls from this number looking for someone that wasn’t me. I called them back and left a message. I never received a call back. I called them back again and was able to speak to someone. I advised that they keep calling my number looking for someone else. They said to hold on for a minute while they look and then hung up on me. Nice company. SMH

Why do i have to pay Goverment back the one time I really needed assistance from them? It was a dam basic check of $ 450..So u telling me to pay back the tax payers..well u don"t get the money put into something everyone coild use.

NO, DO NOT CALL THEM.  They buy very old debts and try to badger people into paying.  If you talk to them and make any inference that the money is owed, they can ruin your credit and even go to small claims.  These debts they buy are either gone from your credit report, or long written off by the original company and on your report as paid or settled
