- kieshgot a phone call from a rebecca davis saying she was a creative director and to call back if i was inerested. sounded like a telemarketing office in the background
- Caller: Explode Talent
- AmberGot this same call, about my daughters acting profile, Man named Lester. asked me to call him back and ask for Creative director. I could not understand the name of the company he works for.
- CharmaineI received a voicemail from a woman named Jennifer saying she was from explore talent casting agency talking about a profile. I called back for giggles. Asked for Jennifer, and they said Jennifer was in a council meeting. I'm like she just called. The woman replied saying that If I pay 70.00 I will be able to work with her for 3 months, 120.00 for 6 months and 200.00 for a year. SCAM. Her last words before hanging up was "You don't trust us?" I googled the number and here I am. SCAM.
- JamieTwo calls same day from different people about acting, modeling etc..for daughter. Scam.
- katelynI got a call about 4 looking for my dd.
- TrinaSame call some guy mubling i have no idea... something about casting/modeling?
- TerrinI got a call from a man named lester about modeling and all that.My brother told him I'd call back. Now hearing this never mind about starting to act. This upsets me. I thought I had a chance.
- terrinI wrote the phone number down that he gave me, it says no one owns it when I write on computer. Who is this freak?
- In the USGuy with a thick hispanic accent named Harry left a voicemail day after Thankgsgiving, stating he was the Creative Director for Explore Talent, and that he had oppertunities for my kiddo in the fields of acting, modeling, dance and comercials. When I called back, they asked for money up front to sign a contract. TOTAL SCAM!!!! I have a feeling that a modeling company I submitted my kiddo's headshot to is selling the information to scamers.
I checked http://www.exploretalent.com and the website advertises: "...Explore Talent only provides internet exposure, resources & tools for you to match your talent with Auditions & Casting."
They are not a reputable talent agency. They only put your kiddos pictures on the website and expect money do to so. DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY ANY INFORMATION OR MONEY!!! On your children's headshots, only list a cell phone and email address. DO NOT EVER give out personal information, even the name of the city you live in.- Caller: Explore Talent web based company
- AngelinaNow that I have looked at all these stories you can tell it was one big scam. Obviously we all must have gotten on the same website in which they got our number. As one girl said earlier she had gotten on http://exploretalent.com/ and so did I. I got a Voice mail and didnt even say who his name was and was from "something" talent. i didnt really understand what he was saying. He also greeted me by calling me Maria when that isnt my name. he said my profile was recieved and he wanted me to audition for modeling, acting, commericials. lastly, he told me to call
1-800-763-8303. I found it pretty suspicious so I went on my recieved calls and the number was Unknown intead of the number coming up. Autimaticaly i new it was a scame. thanks for sharing - ANGELINAREPORT I FOUND!
ITS EXPLORE NOT EXPLODE
Explore Talent or Exploretalent.com is full of lies! First, the 7-day 'FREE' trial is nonexistent. I signed up around 12pm one day and decided to cancel 2 hours later after reading up on the company. The customer service agent said that it would take 5 to 7 business days for the credit to be placed back on my credit card. It's now been a month and I still haven't seen the credit. I call and I get no answer! And the free account and the paid account or what they call a Pro-Subscription is not that different.
Second, of all the services they supposely provide is nothing but junk email or spam to the agents email box. Their claim is that they will email your profile if you qualify for an audition directly to the casting departments email. Over half of the time the agent doesn't read it and it's trashed immediately assuming its junk mail. Note, that you yourself could do the same thing free of charge. You really don't need a middleman to do that, right?
Everyone please watch out for this bogus company. I have spoke with over 10 other models who had a similar experience. At least it makes me feel better to know that I wasn't the only one :o). Please don't be next.

people
you know that if you want to break into this business you don't pay a damn dime till you get a job and there are scams everywhere who can convince you so just remember that you shouldn't pay anything so just ignore them, they are being sued anyways - trustingthank goodness my mom was home when i received the call, because NOONE WILL ASK FOR MONEY!!! it was less then 24 hrs. when i recieved my phone call. the guy that called me got me exciected and motivated. like i said i'm very lucky my mom was around. I hope nonone else gets scamed by these people. I sure hope i didn't but i feel like a fool now.
- antiscami got the same call from fredrick saying he was creative director. FYI: creative directors never make phone calls, they have casting directors/agents that do all of that for their projects. this company is acting as "talent agent", which you should never have to pay for up front. if they get you a job, they get a cut, that's how it works. I'm sure they do put you on a website, which most talent companies do have you pay a yearly fee for, but it's better to find a talent agent in your local area that you know can get you local jobs.
- SadieI just got called. His name is Alex.he is creative director.
I think same as everyone. SCAM - laurenI just signed up for it!!! I didnt pay any money, but i still gave away some of my info. I really want to be a model because I am 13 and 5'9 but its so hard to find a company that is not a scam and gives away good casting calls. anyway I will call this company and yell at them :]
