Called and stated personal business

Called left a first name and call back number ONLY.  I have no idea who they are and will not call back unless they leave a message telling me what it is about and then I'll only call if I recognize what it is about.   I have been scammed by a company claiming to be a debt collector and they were from Nigeria don't know if this is the case but be aware of the possibility.

I too received a call from this number. She said her name was Mary and that I was left as a referral to deliver a message for a Robent Shaw to call them. Said she was from GM Financial. She gave me the number 800-766-2271. Then hung up quickly. When I called back they immediately want your social security number. I told her the situation and said I have never know anyone by this name in my life and to have my number put on a do not call list. Said they had no ability to do anything about unless I get another call and to tell whoever calls me back. It's very fishy, I agree. Scary too. Hope this helps someone in some way.
