Company has called 9 times in the past two weeks, I never answer since I found out this is a "spam" company. I've reported them, but still get their calls.

Tired of the calls.

This is a debt collection company called Capital Management. It's based out of Buffalo NY, but may have other locations.  Firms like these used multiple phone numbers to try and trick you into answering the phone.

Usually when I answer there is silence on the line. Once there was heavy breathing.

I get called from this number everyday, sometimes more. If I answer they hang up. I read other peoples comments saying it is a collection agency. I have no credit cards, no car loan and I rent an apartment. I do not owe any money to anyone. I am on the Do Not Call list, but they still call. How do you get them to stop?

This number called at 8:52am. I did not answer. I looked the number up to find out it's a collection agency. Why they are calling me, I have no clue. I'm on the do not call list as well.

Called and msg left sounded like "You're that good huh?" and then hung up. Who are these jokers?

Received a call from this number at 9 pm CST this evening.  They were looking for my ex-wife.  Had to ask three times who they were before the guy gave me his name and the company he worked for - Capital Management.  They wanted me to give them my ex-wife's phone number but I refused.  But they were willing to give me a different number for her to call them back at, and a reference number as well.  Weren't these guys identified as scam artists once before?

They called asking for my father and said from Capital Mangement...said was behind on payments.  Told them never heard of them.  Then SHE tried to convince me it was for us.  I asked for initials of person she was asking about, and she gave me two wrong initials.  phising.  Hung up.  

I think it's same scammers, but they keep changing number.

I believe they do a ppl search for anyone related to the ppl they are tryng to find... they are very rude too.

This company is continuing to call me for an exhusband's mother who i no longer talk to or have any contact with. although I explain this to them and tell them to remove my number, they continue to ask me for another number to contact this person! They have called twice in 2 days!
i don't get phone calls for bills either... so it is irritating to get rude calls from this company for someone I can barely tolerate anyways.

I've been called by this specific number three times this past weekend. The weird thing is that the phone never fully rings. Not a ring and then a hang-up. It's seriously just half a ring.

You'd think if they were trying to actually get in touch with me they'd stay on the line long enough for me to pick up. Kinda funny though, I must admit.

Called looking for my ex-wife. We've been divorced for 20 years.

They use several different numbers to call from, and call throughout the day. The numbers I have for them are as follows.800-767-7012, 800798-8731, 800-370-4375, 800-519-2643, 716-871-9050, 866-483-3640, 800457-8220, 864-331-5700.
There are probably many more. These people use high pressure tactics to attempt collection of past due credit lines and the like. There is no reasoning with them, they only want to hear that you are going to pay the money they are trying to collect, and not next week but right now.
If you have the finances to pay them than great, but if you don't you are a peice of scum to these people. They will treat you as such.
Treat them that way before they treat you that way. Answer every time they call and say random things to them out of sequence. Examples. Ring...Hello....Yes, is John Doe available, who is this, my name is Anna Rice, can I speak with John Doe please.....I have a brown cat named kuddles....excuse me sir/mam. I like green pudding, don't you?...By that time they will probably hang up on you, if not continue with the act. They will get the picture.
Why should you pay them any respect if they are not going to give you any. DO NOT give them any information, they will attempt to use anything they can against you sometime in the conversation and they will record and type down everything you say, so why not have a little fun while your at it.

If you don't know the person, simply call them back and tell them and they will stop calling.  It's quick and easy and they have to by law.  If they do not stop calling after you have identified your number as a wrong number, they open themselves up to potential FDCPA complaints.

If you owe a bill, you should do everything you can to pay it.

They caled 6 times in 1 day. Each time I picked up and silence on the othe end. Getting tired of this!

I get calls from this number at least 10 times a week, they never leave a message and when I've called back there is silence on the line.  I've been unemployed for two years now and even if I wanted to pay off whatever debt they are calling about, I can't.  So frustrating!

If I don't know the number I don't answer.  To many times I have answered, only to get silence.  Robo-call systems should be outlawed.  I have since envested in Phones that have "Call Blocking".  I can list up to 30 numbers to block...
