My mom got a call from this # and I called it back.  They refused to identify themselves.  They asked my mom to go to the neighbors house to tell the neighbor to call the #..  I want to know who it is.  Does anyone know who this is?

I believe these are bill collectors trying to call

I just had the same thing happen. I came home with a note from my neighbor that said this number called and he has been unable to return my calls to him (Ron Ryan) and for them to leave me a note.

My brother got a call about my grandmother (who is in the nursing home) requesting to speak with whomever handles her finances. His name was Ray Reed - kinda close to Ron Ryan (above) huh?!? Anyone have any ideas???

these people came to my house, knocked on my door at 10:00 in the morning. I was unable to come to the door. I later found a hand written note on the winshield of my car. With the name Ray Reed on it and the number 1800 772 9284. When I called back they wouldnt identify their company and flat out denied coming to my home.

This people are a collection company and I believe the name is remex or renex its weird because I can't find them on the web but I talked to Pat Evans a representative and the one lady who answered the phone was very rude and fail to identified her self or company, question is.... by law don't they need identifi the company's name, them self and them recording the call? When they called me the number showed 1 609 945 3000 but when I call I get no answer, but when I answered their call they game me a 1 800 772 9284 and that's where the lady answered the pone.

Everyone should call the telephone company and the police dept., to see what can be done to these people for their constant harrassment. I know that this company is in Houston, Texas.

I also received a hand written note wedged in my door. They need to be stopped. This is haressment to the fullest!

I got a called from # 1-609-945-3000 my caller ID showed "other" as caller. A woman identified herself as Pat Baker and said that they're attempting to collect a debt. I requested a # to call back they gave me 1-800-772-9284. When I called back a women picked up the phone but did not identify herself nor the company. I mention that I'm returning their call, they put me on hold and then Pat Baker picked up. She said in so many words that they're a collection agency "remex" so on and so on....I requested that she give me specifics pertaining to the account that she called about. She could not identify the account nor can she tell me the lender's info. Long behold she hung up...
Beware, if you get calls like these, let the caller identify specific info. DO NOT give them any info over the phone.

they call everyday. we have no outstanding debt. They give you an 800 number to call them back and then they put you on hold for a long time. i will try again and tell them to stop calling me or I will report them to the proper authorities.

This is a collection agency, attempting to collect a debt. What kind of debt? I've got the slightest clue. However, they're relentless. They El call every single day without fail. And trying to call them back with a blocked number, proves to be ineffective. Some how our another, their phone system unmask your number this allowing them to know who is calling. I allowed the call to go to voice mail due to the fact that I didn't recognize the number and they left a automated message indicating that this was RENEX INC. Attempting to collect a debt and to please return their call at the provided number. Therefore I did call then back, blocking my number and just as soon as someone answered the call, they immediately as for the person that they've been trying to reach. So I told them that I do not appreciate the fact that I'm receiving a number of phone calls from then and wish to be taken off their call list. Because it's obvious that the person you're trying to reach either refuses to take your call, they may be the wrong recipient, and bottom line is, it's harassment. They're other methods available to track a person down and if you feel the need to have to make several attempts to reach them via phone, then maybe you should resort to an alternative method. By the way, if in fact I am or was the recipient, and I request that they stop calling me, then by law, they have to stop. If they don't, you're able to file civil charges with your local police department. Although it may not be simple as just calling your PD, it may just be worth it. Especially if they won't stop calling. They're well within their rights to attempt to collect a debt, but intimidating or harassing isn't legal. There are a number of apps on the market to record your phone calls should you feel like you have to. Also apps that can block the call completely. If they're calling your landline then you can take the number they're calling from and contact your phone carrier to have that number permanently blocked from calling you again. Hope this helps.

Got a call from 800-772-9284 on 1/28/2016... they claimed to be a collections company called Remex.  The guy said that my mom owed $5000 from 2011 to 247 Heart & Vascular of Kendall Park, NJ.  My dad asked why they waited 5 years to collect debt.... then he told them that we had not received services from that office and this must be a scam.  At that point they hung up.

Got a call from this number. A woman's voice said it was a debt collector's call and gave an 800 number to call back. We don't owe anything to anybody and don't know why a debt collector should call us.

These kind of harassment must be stopped.

They are a debt collector out of Princeton and Rocky Hill, NJ. They are legit. We owe a large copay on a surgical bill. Their www site is remexinc.com.

I got a call from 800-772, 9284, never heard the phone ring. Had a message stating it was Remex whatever... I do not owe any money but I think I know who they are calling about and what possibly in regards to, but after reading all of this I would NEVER pay them anything, especially after contacting the wrong person... it's like they searched for a family member and grabbed whatever # they could phish off the web. But I could be 100% wrong, and they could be scammers... which is why I looked the # up, and it all seems scary up here.

We did have a hispanic guy come up to our door the other day SO RANDOMLY, banging, he had his family in his little Chevy Malibu outfront, and we didn't answer in time, rather we didn't want to answer and he left a note in regards to the truck across the street, like he was interested in buying it. We just stuck the note on our neighbors car, since that is the model name he wrote down... said his name was Jim and gave a somewhat local #... but yeah I don't trust these clowns.
