Unknown caller - reverse google search shows it might be an old countrywide mortgage number.  I never had an acct with Countrywide.

  FOUR  (4)  calls while at work today... NO message left, NO identity (other than "toll free call"), and obviously...NO CLUE!   First time I've seen this #, will report as the scam it probably is.....

these people have been calling us about 5 times/day.  They claim to be a debt collector-have the same outgoing message voice as BoFA main line.  They want our ss#.  We won't give it to them and they keep harassing us.  If we had an unpaid debt to a company, I would think that we would have received several bills from said company.  Anyone have some more info?

DO NOT under any circumstances give these people your SS#!!!!  It is a scam trying to steal your identity.

I have legal shield, it does not help that much.  They are just about only able to give you advice, i am going to cancel this service.

I keep getting calls from this number 4 or 5 times every day even as late as 9PM and some times as early as 7AM.
They do not leave a VM nor speak up when I pick up the phone.
Looks like being on DO NOT CALL list makes no difference!

If they are calling you before 8am and after 9pm, then they are in violation of the Fair debt Collections Practices Act.  They are forbidden to call you.  Need to report it

Bank of America mortgage

These people call every day saying they are calling from Bank of America and request personal information including SS# to continue the phone call. From here they tell us that there is a delinquent account that requires immediate payment or we will be reported to credit bureaus.
When I called BoA to confirm this request they have no record of the calls and all our accounts are paid and up to date. Plus they say they would never call us to make this kind of request.
This is a scam and a fraud. They are attempting to get personal information including credit card information for use in identity theft. Do not give them any information whatever. They are not Bank of America.

Saying it is BoA but when asked what the call was about they demand address and ss#  if it was in fact BoA they would say what was wrong up front and then ask for account verification

Same here I'm an old countywide customer and current BOA and wells but I have a set contact with them and their number is always been 1800669 something. I told her to verify my loan number and I'll verify my social she says no thank you and hangs up muhahaha!!

This is not Bank of America!! Our info has been hacked so if you're a customer you need to call Privacy and Security Dept at 8883415000 (look it up to confirm) and complain because not everyone knows to look this up their getting scammed and BOA needs to contact their customers and warn them!!

Robo / Spam Caller Using a SPOOFED Phone Number. Calls multiple times in same day. Claims to be different things including Bank of America. Local BofA branch says it is a SPOOFED phone number.

I definitely don't think this is BoFA...if you can't verify over the phone a real BoFA rep will come on the line and assist.  This number says it can't connect you to a rep unless you enter info and then hangs you up if you don't enter any info .  Bye Felicia!
