National Do Not Call Registry not working

They call non stop and don't leave any messages. I called back once and it said please hold for the next available operator. I guess it's not that important if they don't leave a message!

Have called several times for several days and have not answered because of caller i.d.  They do not leave a message on the answering machine. Tried calling back today and was told that my call might be monitored and to wait for a rep.  Their phone rang twice and stopped and then got message if I want to make a call, hang up and try again.  They called later and I answered.  It was a local dealership. They wanted to buy my car!  I told them I did not want to sell.

I called the number and got to the "customer interaction center"...I hung up.

Received a call twice, but got no person/message when I picked up, so I called it back.  It was almost as if they were expecting me.  She knew my phone number (caller ID) and my name.  It was the "customer interaction center" calling on behalf of Hinkley Dodge, a local dealer where I bought a car 18 months ago.  They wanted to let me know about a "great trade-in deal" they have.  Told them I was not interested and asked them to remove me from the calling list.  The woman I spoke to was very courteous and said I'll be added to their do-not-call list and apologized for any inconvenience.

They called me three times and left no message in a span of two days. So, I called back and pranked them! Next time, I will answer and chew them out!

Interesting.  I too have had several calls from them.  Like many of you, i asked the one lady to quit calling and she was very nice and said she would put me on their do not call list.  I continue to get there calls.  I also registered with the 800 registry and it is not working.  They call almost daily, how annoying.  Finally, they have told me they are with my local car dealership, Rockenbach Chevrolet, and have a great trade in deal for me.

This is a service that makes calls on behalf of other services, like car dealers. When you call them back, give them your number and they'll say why they called you. In my case, it was to follow up on a service visit from my local dealer. I asked that they add me to their do not call list. They said sure, but that it takes from 24 hours to 30 days to take effect. Legally, they're only required to stop in 30 days i think.

Daily calls starting at 10am, then every other hour until 9pm 7/365 on both my home phone and cell. Most reach voicemail but hang up half-way through the announcement. The ones that somehow are recorded are part way into the recorded spiel that's trying to tell me that my car hasn't been in for service since February. Northwest Dodge in Houston, Texas.

Sounds like a telemarketing company.  They call daily between 4 and 5 PM and leave no message.  I haven't had the opportunity to answer yet.

I've been getting these calls at least twice a day for the past three weeks. Now that i know who it is, i'll answer next time. I used to work at a company that bothered insurance policy holders to get a policy review and the rule was if the costumer said, "do not call again," or "put me on the do-not-call list," three times they'll take you off. Otherwise they'll keep you on the list and keep calling. it doesnt make any sense. If i dont want their call, i'm not going to answer. so we can try this beetlejuice method and tell them three times, and see what happens.

Getting calls constantly. No msg left when calling back have to hold.

I too have been getting 2-4 calls a day from this number.  Isn't it illegal for telemarketers to call cell phones?
