repeated calls asking for someone that does not live here

They call and want to ask me all this questions

They keep calling for a person that does NOT live here. When told that the peson doesn't live here thay called us liars. What a RUDE buch of [***]. They are probably bill collectors. When asked to speak to a supervosor, they hang up.  Who cares who they are, they should treat people with dignity.  Times are financially hard for some people and I understand they have a job to do, but whay are they SO NASTY?

These people have harassed my husband and I since mid-February.  They will not reveal who they are or what they want, but they want you to give them info like your phone number or social security number. We had to put a fraud alert on all our accounts, notified the Federal Trade Commmission.  We will not give out a Social to someone over the phone.  They are very rude.  I had the operator to call that number and she said they were extremely rude to her too. We are getting fed up.  Short of changing my telephone number that we have had for 15 years, what else is there to do?

Rude is too good of a word for this guy. They call and ask for someone then won't give any info, then hang up when you ask who and what company are they calling from. caller ID shows it as DRS Technologies which is listed as a defense company.

They always call here and when we ask for information on why they are calling they get rude and hang up.

This number called but caller ID showed the number but no name.  After saying hello a few times the call hung up so I called it back.  They asked for my husband and tried to verify his social security number which he told them to verify it for him instead.  They gave him a totally different number and after he said no that's not it, they hung up.  There has been a few calls like this trying to us to verify our social security numbers.  How do we stop the fraud?  I looked them up and it comes up with a Defense company as well.  Someone should be able to do something.

Very Very rude guy called my cell # and asked for my husband.  I asked what he was calling for and he wanted me to verify my social?????   I told him Hell no i don't verify anything over the phone and when i called back i was transferred to the same guy!!   I asked what company he was calling from and he laughed and i asked him for a manager and he stated he wasn't getting anyone for me. I hung up on him and googled the # and DRS which is what the 800 # is answered as.  I am grateful for this website because this is obviously FRAUD!!  Thanks!!

they called at 8:25am on Sunday morning. I called back and got an answering maching givine me the hours of operation.
I agree with a comment from another web site. Call them back, do not speak, and just let the call keep getting back into their system. that will screw up things for a while anyway.

I got this message from some woman named "Nancy Miller at DRS", insisting it was "important" that she speak with me and that I call her back at 800-807-4106. Apparently if you check THAT number, you find that they're a bunch of ID thieves posing as a collection agency!

This number calls numerous times and no one is there.I am on the do not call list ,don't know who the caller is,never leaves message,obviously the do not call list doesn't work too well.

I started receiving calls from this number on a daily basis for the last 5 days sometimes 2x a day. I had ignored their calling and would mute the  ringer when that number come up. So I finally did a search on the number which landed me here. After reading through all of the comments. I was fired up and I was ready to tear into these fools. So I had patiently awaited for their next call.
when they called I answered and got a automated recording that was leaving a message for a person Ive never heard of and to call Rebeca at a different 800 number. I called this number and a woman answered and told me they are a collection agency. She said Rebeca isnt available right now. I then said well maybe you can help me and I told her the whole story. She asked for my number and my name. Then she looked up the number and found it and told me that she would remove that number off their call registry and gave me a formal apology. Since then I have not received anymore calls from that number. In my sick little way I was waiting for the rudeness from these people so I could tear right into them but the lady was very professional through the whole call. She was very sympathetic towards my frustration. Just from the tone of her voice you could tell that she would do exactly what she said she would do.

They called the wrong person today acting real tough. I got them off my back by turning the table around. I called them back 20 times in a row acting like a nut. Now they are hanging up on me what a switch. If we flooded their lines with crazy calls they can't call out. Flood those lines act crazy on them laugh real hard in the phone but keep call them. They have to pay for incoming and outgoing calls so they want to spend money well let them pay that big phone bill they are creating. Give no info on yourself, but I am having a blast calling them. I have called the on redial at least 30 times in a row. They know me already. Told them that I am going to spread the word.  Make those calls heck it's a 800 number free to us they pay.

Over the past year or so, I have been receiving phone calls, containing a “canned message,” indicating that someone from the "DRS Technology" organization has been trying, unsucssfully, to contact me; no reason is given. The canned message requests that, I call back and gives a call back, 800 number; however, each time I have attempted to call the number, an answering machine indicates that the business is closed and that I should call back during business hours.  Being that, on many of these occasions, I have called immediately after receiving the initial phone message, only to hear, that the "business is closed," it is my opinion, these phone calls, from whatever DRS Technology is constitute Annoying and Harassing phone calls, per Section 653m (b)(c)(d), of the California Penal Code. The phone number of the entity making the Harassing and Annoying phone calls is 800-851-9631.

It is my opinion, at least in my case, because I own no one anything and have very good credit scores (run withing the last week), calls such as I discribed in the foregoing rise to the level of a crime in the State of California, and recommend that anyone in my same circumstance contact their law enforcement and/or prosecutor and file a criminal complaint agains DRS Technology. I am including a copy of the text ot the penal code section I am referring to.

Penal Code of The State of California

653m. (a) Every person who, with intent to annoy, telephones or makes contact by means of an electronic communication device with another and addresses to or about the other person any obscene language or addresses to the other person any threat to inflict injury to the person or property of the person addressed or any member of his or her family, is guilty of a misdemeanor. Nothing in this subdivision shall apply to telephone calls or electronic contacts made in good faith.
 
(b) Every person who, with intent to annoy or harass, makes repeated telephone calls or makes repeated contact by means of an electronic communication device, or makes any combination of calls or contact, to another person is, whether or not conversation ensues from making the telephone call or contact by means of an electronic communication device, guilty of a misdemeanor. Nothing in this subdivision shall apply to telephone calls or electronic contacts made in good faith or during the ordinary course and scope of business.

(c) Any offense committed by use of a telephone may be deemed to have been committed when and where the telephone call or calls were made or received. Any offense committed by use of an electronic communication device or medium, including the Internet, may be deemed to have been committed when and where the electronic communication or communications were originally sent or first viewed by the recipient.

(d) Subdivision (a) or (b) is violated when the person acting with intent to annoy makes a telephone call or contact by means of an electronic communication device requesting a return call and performs the acts prohibited under subdivision (a) or (b) upon receiving the return call. (e) Subdivision (a) or (b) is violated when a person knowingly permits any telephone or electronic communication under the person's control to be used for the purposes prohibited by those subdivisions.

800-851-9631 calls are bothersome and unnecessary. no one on line when I answer the phone

These people keep calling my house for someone that abviously doesnt live here. today was the best, they called and i figured i play along. i waited for the rep to get on the phone and told her it was a wrong number and guess what she hung up. i called them back and she picked up the phone put me on hold and some other [***] MR Jimenez (he called himself) said why did i refused to identify myself in a very rought tone and i proceeded to shut him down and told him he was wrong and that wasnt what happened and that their company was violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act guess what he did what, Put me on hold and after 20 minutes of holding i just hung up the phone and decided to post this.
these folks have no respect for your rights and privacy. this company operates with a rouge mentality and i see that they promote that to their employees.
do not give these people any information as they will use it to further persue these bogus debts.
the real problem is that these debts are passed on by the original company and sold off sever

the real problem is that these debts are passed on by the original company and sold off several times over that by the time people like DRS TECHNOLOGY gets this the debt is not even valid. when they get to this level you will be dealing with the lowest form of collection agency with the worst treatment and practices.
