I have received several messages from this "collection agency" and tried calling the number that was left on the message.  It rings once then it is silent.  I have no outstanding debts and pay my bills on time.  sounds like a scam to me.

I've told this company SEVERAL times the person they are trying to reach does NOT live here nor have this phone number. They actually told me I was lying and that I WAS the person they were trying to contact yet when asked what this was in reference to they said I wasn’t the person they needed to speak to. Then she said you live in Tennessee at such and such address to which I replied I don't!

The last time they called I returned their phone call and was on hold for over 11 minutes before someone finally answered the phone. She proceeded to tell me I was lying and hung up on me. I called the number back (this time I waited over 17 minutes) and explained to them that if they call our number one more time I was going to file harassment charges with the attorney general, the FTC and the FCC. Well, guess what? They did call again I have begun the process I warned them I was going to do with the FTC and FCC as well as the attorney general.

I also recorded the calls which I highly recommend you do because it really backs up your case. This company is a top notch scam artist and a very unworthy company not to mention they are using improper collection processes.

They call all times of the day and night. I told them they had the wrong # after I finally got to talk to someone. She told me she would take my # out of the system. I told her to give me the name & number of the company that the debt was owed so I could get out of their system she didn't seem to want to or she didn't know it.

I am receiving debt collection calls from this number, I owe no money to anyone.

I got a call from them today. That's what led me here.

Don't worry folks ... these toads have no legal power whatsoever, but I do believe their actions are deliberate. It's as if telephone messaging centers are being used to unnerve the segment of society that doesn't owe any money. A pursuit so misguided can't be legitimate, so I pay no more attention to the attempts to provoke me than I would any other SCAM.

This company is NCO Financial. I've done research on this company. They harrass everyone/anyone trying to collect old (past statute of limitations) or imaginary debts. There are multiple lawsuits pending against this company @ all levels in the court system. Don't promise anything to them. If fact, don't even bother to call them back.

I have just received a call from this number, requesting the last four digits of my SS...
I refused and woman got upset. I pay all my bills on time and owe nothing....
I sent a cease and desist e mail to qualityservice@portfoliorecover.com, which i found in another blog and I am going to send an e-mail to State of Florida Attorney General...

This is NCU Debt Collectors, look up your state statute, if you have not made any payment in a certain amount of years on your debt it is no longer collectable. Each state is different Calif is 4 yrs Fl is 5 yrs. I learned this from Susie Ormond and got it confirmed by my attorney. Do not even tell them you will send a dollar or the yrs can start over. In fact I have been told not to speak to them at all. You can purchase some phones that will block up to 30 #s, I highly recommend them. It only rings once and then they get a busy signal. Also all out of area or blocked calls or private calls will only ring once.

Message was left by this number.  It asked to have Hermoine M call them back.  She was Wife #1 over 40 years ago.  I'm not even married to him any longer and the phone # is NOT in his last name.

they call me all the time and when  they talk i can't understand them and when you ask to  say it again they get mad at you.

This is a collection agency.  They don't care even you have filed bankruptcy.  They keep calling.  One day they will get their just due.
