I have recieved two calls from this number this week. Both leaving a message for someone who isn't at my number. I told them a while ago that they had the wrong number and they stopped calling, but now they are calling again. I really wish they would STOP calling me looking for someone I don't even know! It's getting really annoying! Another thing I would like to know is how whoever has given them my number got a hold of it. Just stop calling me!!!!!

These jerks have been calling me repeatedly over the past few days. Each time I tell them the person they're calling for doesn't live here, they tell me they'll take this number off their list, then they call back a few hours later.  I tried calling them back and it said a certain "Adolfo Pacheco" was not available.  They don't say who they are as an organization, though.

800-861-4839 is a call and hang-up number, calls around dinner time.

They are a collection agency, I believe. For probably 5 years I have routinely received calls from various agencies looking for a guy who must have had this number before me. I tell them he no longer owns this number and they go away. Well, at least that group goes away. And then 6 months later, the creditors turn over this guy's collectibles to yet another collection agency and again it begins. I am moving soon and will hopefully not have the same experience with the new number.

They not only called a small business and asked for someone that doesn't even exist here, but she was extremely rude about it.  Would not identify herself or the company from which she was calling. It said Calvary on the caller ID.

kEEP GETTING CALLS AT WORK FROM 800-861-4839, THEY KEEP ASKING FOR SOMEONE THAT IS NOT HERE.  THEY WILL NOT GIVE A COMPANY NAME OR THE NAME OF THE PERSON CALLING.
I KEEP TELLING THEM THE SAME STORY OVER AND OVER, BUT THEY KEEP CALLING.  PROBLEM IS THAT THIS IS MY WORK PHONE AND I DON'T WANT THESE CALLS COMING IN ON MY LINE.

They are Cavalry Portfolio, a collection company.  I have asked them repeatedly to mail me the information they have on the supposed outstanding account, since I will not do anything over the phone without back up of the file.    Surprise surprise.....I have yet to receive ANYTHING!!

Cavalry Portfolio, a collection company, I believe out of Tulsa, OK. They call and do not speak. My suggestion is each time call them back at 1-800-861-4839. Take up their time and maybe they will stop doing it. Dial *67 1-800-861-4839. They will receive you call as a blocked call. If they get enough of these, they may stop doing it.

Called at work. It's Calvary Portfolio. They call me on my cell and leave a message but today they called my office. Below is a link to an attorney that may be able to get money for people that are being harrassed. Not sure if they are legit but if I get called at work again I am going to contact them.

To everyone.......Caller ID is the greatest invention since sliced bread!  I do NOT pick up any phone calls unless I know who it is.  If they want me, they can leave a message.  I get calls from this number but I don't answer the phone.  That's the easiest way to handle it I think.  I don't have the patience or the time to talk to anyone I don't want to talk to.
My telephone is for MY convenience, no one else's.

put them on your ID as a collector n when you see them don't answeer

put a call block on your cell phone. You can ditch the incoming calls. One that I use is called who are you. Works great..I don't know who this company is..I'm sure its a debt collector but I have no outstanding debt..wish the would stop calling..can't now their blocked

Worst collection agency ever! They should be nominated for the Guinness World Book of Records. They keep calling a landline number that was relinquished (11) eleven years ago by the debtor(s) for whom they are attempting to reach!!! What a waste of time and effort by this company's employees not to mention the enormous inconvenience inflicted upon the innocent current registered subscriber of the telephone number. As the CEO and President of a business I certainly would not even consider contracting Calvary Portfolio Services to collect any debt on behalf of my business. Perhaps, if whoever issued the debtor credit in the first place would have conducted a better due diligence search by verifying the home telephone number they provided, they would not be chasing the debtor now. In any event I am greatly indebted to Calvary Portfolio Services for their continued harassment with their misguided collection efforts as the Attorney General's Office of my state is now proceeding in efforts to collect $2,500.00 in violation of my state's laws and will forward the small windfall on to me the consumer.
